Bayern have players with good base technical level. Ours not so much tbh. Its why i'm no fan of the likes of Johnson, Richy etc. They have poor general technique. When you think about Kane and how cleanly he hit the ball or even Son as another example, we are really missing that in this squad now.
I think we need another fullback as well
It’s difficult to know who those players are outside of 2 or 3 at the back.
In attacking terms those are arguably the two most important roles in any side. So you think we are lacking quality there, well then of course we are average, theres little to no quality in the key areas. We *might* even have decent choices elsewhere (and decent is not a level I think we should be targeting) but that leaves an unbalanced side in terms of quality.
It’s preseason so you experiment and try things out to see how flexible your squad is. I imagine he’s doing it to see if he’s an option for the left as opposed to because he’s better on the left.
I knew that response would come and I’m not really buying it. We have a massive game in 9 days. We should be going in ready.
Also where are the goals going to come from, Johnson looks like he is used completely different to what he was used for last year, ie scoring goals.
Tel and Odobert will be fine. They are just 2 weeks behind everyone else because of U21 tournaments over the summer. The same as Gray is
