    Luka Vuskovic

I think the key point is that Vuskovic is still a kid that is maturing. At that age, there is no way he's not getting guidance from trusted advisors like agents and family. I'm not sure whether his parents are massively involved but that wouldn't surprise me either. There seems to be a...

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

I look at this a couple of ways. If we had an independent Chairman / CEO then they may have encouraged all the owners to invest more into the club. If the 30% stakeholder refused then they might have encouraged the 70% stakeholder to still invest and rebalanced it to a 75/25% model. That would...

    Transfer thread

A fit Saka is on a different level to anything we currently have or have had for a while in my opinion. Ideally, we need him fully fit for the rest of this world cup. No problems if he pulls a hamstring scoring the winning penalty in the final though ;)

    Djed Spence

I think you should read what I wrote though. I totally talked about those mitigating circumstances with changing manager tactics and playing out of position. That's why |I haven't given up on him at all. I want to see the Porro/Spence and Udogie/Robbo competition for places. I want to see these...

Intentional is a yellow card in the laws of the game right?

    Transfer thread

I read something based on one of the pressers that Tuchel deliberated long and hard about Madueke vs Bowen in that wide berth. Of course, the entire nation was talking about Palmer vs Foden, both of which drift too far inside for the manager's liking. In reality, it feels our country is...

    Sandro Tonali

Worth remembering that Tonali isn't at the World Cup. If you're the Spurs comms team you would be thinking that the time to announce your biggest signing ever is coincide with all the boys heading back for pre-season. Then you get the normal marketing vids and all the extra ones of him at the...

Yeah, agree although I was always more in the Harvey Barnes camp at that point. One player I thought would have been great in our colours.

    Djed Spence

I think that is the point that guys like myself and @robp135 have been making. Spence is a good defender one on one but does that really matter if he's not positionally correct. The first time I remember really feeling his defensive qualities was against Mbuemo at Brentford. Frank had Mbuemo on...

lol - well these 2 answers kept me as confused as ever :tearsofjoy:

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

Actually, I had to dig deeper as google's new AI model was saying that it was in the Levy family trust and ESC had taken the 24.99% share including a press release. Levy's side has said nothing but the Lewis's seem to be denying it through a second press release. Doesn't really change my...

    Dejan Kulusevski

Am I mistaken or was the video the other day all right foot as well? I thought it was a right patella injury so if he's training hard on that side then this could be great news for his recovery. They were pretty powerful strikes with the right foot to be fair.

    Omar Marmoush

Because he never plays and I never really watch him I'm still left confused as to where he plays his best football. Would we line up with Marmoush, Solanke and Kudus as an example or does Marmoush take Solanke's shirt? Seems like a good fit for Spurs under RDZ though. His listed attributes...

The Match of the Day Thread

This really gets tedious. When is FIFA / IFAB going to address the fact that refs aren't using the laws of the game anymore. Just brandish the cards and let's get the beautiful game back.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Didn't see the game but just enforces the argument that officiating needs a complete overhaul. I've watched way too many games where only a couple of cards have been branded and according to the laws it should have been double figures and less than 22 players on the pitch.

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

I agree, but my only thought for football to be free to do what it wants is about the current officiating. That should be rock solidly consistent and based solely on the laws of the game. In the current climate it just isn't. A lot of what we see stylistically in football is based on how...

    Djed Spence

I would agree that so far in his Spurs career he's had very few games where he has been "very good". It's all about potential with him and as you head towards your 26th b'day you need to find that next gear and a load of consistency. That's what I'm hoping RDZ can do with him. One stat that...

World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

Considering everyone hates international football, and club football is more important than your country we've done well to get to 114 pages of posts. I though international football was just inferior and boring nowadays :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

    Daniel Levy - Former Chairman

The perspective of Levy on this one is intriguing. Levy rode the football money train brilliantly and did all of the right things to grow his 30% share. When he left the club, the club was valued at c£3-4b carrying a debt of £800m. So in his terms he had a £0.9-1.2b asset and had a £240m share...

    Dejan Kulusevski

Admittedly, I never know what these vids mean. Until we hear something from the player or club then it's really hard to know how ready Kulu will be this season. We definitely heard that the World Cup came a "little too early" for Kulu in his recovery. That in itself is hard to interpret but...
