Premiership Era Best XI - Centre Midfielders

I guess OP has tried to do an even spread across the years

Premiership Era Best XI - Centre Midfielders

If you're thinking pairings I don't think Carrick and Modric would work as well as Modric + Dembele or even Modric + Wanyama/Sandro/Parker

    Premiership Era Best XI - Forwards (#10 & #9)

True but Lennon as a wide player was more team play than goal scorer, similar with Crouch/Adebayor - they both acted as a foil for VDV at CF. Would be fun I'm sure, would love a player like VDV right now

    Premiership Era Best XI - Forwards (#10 & #9)

An interesting topic when discussing managers could be to use our player pool to pick a best XI for each of the managers preferred setup

    Premiership Era Best XI - Forwards (#10 & #9)

VDV would mean 3 attack focused AMs/WFs behind your CF - you need someone to link with your MFs I guess Kane gives the option of having him drop in and become the creator

    Premiership Era Best XI - Forwards (#10 & #9)

Who i think is the best of those players and who i think would best suit the XI on the pitch, as dictated by the other options, are two different things. With Son & Bale wide forwards you'd want a creative central player for balance - that means Eriksen behind Kane. I'm voting for my...

He's young and far from the finished article - I feel if you're including Tel Odobert should also be in there

    Cristian Romero

To add, if Ange & his team got in his head and had him under control - then that is certainly is to their credit. I just don't think the blame lies at managers for failing to control ill disciplined players. This is a player who has had poor discipline across multiple managers now - was the stat...

    Cristian Romero

My point i guess is that a player who needs controlling to such a degree frankly should shoulder the blame for his actions - he's a grown man, to pass the buck for his behaviour does not sit right with me.

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

The football early on in season two was very laboured/turgid - we were picking up results and the hope was that the football would get back to what we saw early in the first season, the same hope that we had in the second half of season one. But we never got close to that type of football again...

    25/26 Injury and illness thread

Posters should not be hounded for daring to express an opinion (short of the obvious exceptions) I'll refrain from giving my opinion currently as last time I did our injury list exploded. I have my theory on why we're still experiencing an abnormal amount of injuries - I'm seeing a pattern...

****Tottenham Hotspur v Man Utd********* OMT Official

I'm not someone who dismisses Xg but expected points is really not a stat worth paying any attention to. It's only real value (Xg) is judging the quality of chances you created. Example, If you create a load of chances at 0-0 but fail to score then go on to lose 1-0/2-0 to a team with a lower...
