Absent in the second half, I noted.

The only thing missing was him gobbing on himself after it was given. That was like a breath of fresh air tonight, and boy, was it welcome.

Mysteron Agent, Mikel Arteta, but it's almost word for word what I was saying Saturday evening.

If he thinks his job is safe on the basis the corporates were all smiles with him over lunch, he's got a lot to learn about the type They will be exactly that way, right up until the minute he gets the email telling him to clear his desk and not communicate further with anyone at the club.

    Martin Chivers RIP

Brilliant player and a true gent. I met him when he came to Tottenham School in the early 70s as a guest of Mr Pinches, our Head of Games at the time. I think it was when the new Sports Hall opened, so probably 1973. How we could do with him now.

They still haven't forgiven us for the humiliation they were forced to suffer over the Liverpool goal-that-wasn't the other year.

I see it as just pigeons coming home to roost. Natural consequences. Years and years of neglect of squad development and succession planning, of lurching from one playing style to another with no overarching plan have led us to this. It's been coming ever since Levy refused to take what he was...

It would be rather ironic if, after all their 'Levy Out' hue and cry, CFT having apparently got their wish, it turned out that the reason he got the boot was because the higher-ups thought he'd 'gone native'.

I wouldn't normally say this but I don't care a sod about the FA Cup this season. We can do without the extra games.

It's the sort of reductio ad absurdum that should force people to confront how ridiculous the whole Cupgate story was, in a similar way that the writers of Till Death Us Do Part sought to ridicule Garnett's bigotry so that intelligent people watching would see that... Oh.

*** OMT: Spurs vs Sunderland*** Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Sunday 4th January, 3pm

Lively but wasteful first half, too passive again in the second period. It had late equaliser written all over it (as I had just finished typing to my mate on my phone, and they scored before I could hit 'send').

No, didn't you get the memo? Eventually, some suit will be reminded by their 9-year-old granddaughter what the offside rule was meant to be about in spirit, and they will stop getting the VAR micrometers out and start talking about whether a player has gained a perceptible advantage. The new...

With the cheat-mode clubs, I think it's as much about depriving potential rivals as anything else. That was certainly the case with Abramokunt's Chelsea.

I don't think any of us are on different pages, really. As I said in an earlier post, though, there's risk, and there's stupid risk. I'm not necessarily against the former.

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

We do pass forward ...sometimes, it's just that when we do, we're very likely to lose possession, which is why it's understandable if Frank wants to be more cautious about who is committed up the pitch at any given time. Unfortunately, as you say, that doesn't make for the most attractive...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

I wouldn't say we never play the ball forward, but from what I've been seeing recently, to a first approximation, a forward pass equals a turnover, which is why I think he has tended to be so cautious in his approach. What's a bit worrying is that, if anything, that appears to have got worse as...

Thomas Frank - Former Head Coach

This is why my current hypothesis is that Frank simply doesn't trust the current squad to play with more risk, because their limitations, and particularly their collective lack of ability to resist a press mean the dice are always going to be loaded against him. He is "big" on bravery, he says...
