The way it was reported was that we had triggered his release clause. Which either means we went in and more less said we are triggering it or we did just bid 60m and Forrest initially accepted it because it was his release clause and announced to everybody that we had triggered it before the...

You would imagine we would be ready for such an eventuality unless we knew the terms of the release clause said otherwise or we are just naive enough to think a front loaded payment wouldn't be required. Who knows honestly, but I would expect at the spurs to be ready to pay a big chunk if they...

Ok to clear something up. There's a bit of confusion beacuse of the Spanish release clause rules. Yes in spain if you trigger a release clause you have to pay the entire amount up front as this is a portion of the Spanish legal employment law if you engage someone on a limited term exclusivity...

Ndombele was the hilarious one because he A. Wasn't fat and B. Was in far better shape than 99% of the people calling him fat. 😩

I guess the debate is about which players fall in that category.

I mean delayed in the sense that Nottingham Forest are going to be difficult and right now are holding up any change in registration for Giggs-White. He was already supposed to have had his medical so it's already been delayed. How long remains to be seen but it isn't happening at the pace we...

We've gone for Morgan Gibbs-White instead now anyway. He's a few years younger and we might think he has more potential and upside to him.

I think so to, it might just be heavily delayed. Hopefully it's not too entangled to the extent it distracts us from what ever other business we are trying to do.

    Expectations for 25/26

With the addition of first Kudus and now Gibbs-White I feel confident that a Top 8 finish is a minimum that we can expect. It's not guaranteed of course with of all the flux of having a new coach, a change in system, new players etc, but I feel excited with the prospect of this season coming...

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

I think giving him praise and critique makes sense. Flowers don't flow out his arse. When he makes mistakes criticise and when he makes great decisions praise him. It's not that complicated really.

    Thomas Frank - Head Coach

No he gets the credit for all the signings, good or bad. You seem to only want him addressed when the signings are positive?

Real foolishly wouldn't. Its crazy squad building. They have arguably 3 world class LWFs and no striker.

I think for most the smart additions needed this summer were RWF/DM/comp LB/CM in that order I would say. After that maybe a striker if quality one could be found. I'd say 2 out of the 4 needed is a good start. I do agree that a DM next would be nice to see but not super worried as of yet.

Umm I dunno. There's something to be said for the idea of another AM. If Frank is going to play say Kulu more so obviously the right (I think he should stay central personally) and if he's not a super fan of Maddison it can make sense. It even makes sense if he just isn't sold on Maddison and...

    Mohammed Kudus

You have to have extreme quality in other areas to make up for the lack of a top striker for this to work. France had world class defence along with Zidane and a young really young Henry (that people weren't even noticing at the time). Pool had Salah and Mane and Firminio was a fantastic...

Did my research and it seems he played a lot of left wing last season and it's not a role that he excels in. At least according to West Ham who watched a lot of him. The first season was as you say mostly him on the right which is where he played for Ajax as well.

Dm is also important but as you know for me the right sided attacker was absolutely the priority. I'm just happy someone at the club sees it the way I do. It bodes well because we also seem to ignore our weaknesses and go for deals rather than for needs. This was a need and it's been addressed.

I just realised something. Priority number 1 has actually been addressed and before preseason matches even start. This never happens.

Noice. I remember a few being surprised we didn't go for him directly from Ajax. It was a bit of coup for West Ham to get him in the first place. I look forward to seeing technical ability return to our right hand side.
