    Ange departs

Because the main issue around Spurs at the moment is Ange. That's why people post about it, some repeatedly. Not every person posting sees the world the same way we do but posting on a forum where everyone is a supporter of my club tends to mean I have more in common with most. For me, the...

It does beg the question of why do you post on a fans' forum and moreover visit the same thread? :). We all post for different reasons. Would be a boring place if we didn't.

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

We still gave up some very good chances against Brentford though. Wissa missed some big chances from what I recall. It was a better performance defensively. But he's not been able to do that elsewhere though.

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

I know we disagree on this Steff, but did you see Bournemouth grind out a win against an in form Foolham side yesterday? I thought it was impressive given that Bournemouth have been on a poor run recently. Not some thing I've seen us do at all this season. Plus Bournemouth have secured results...

Contingency planning : we've found our guy

It's been a catastrophic decision in terms of money lost and the club being able to attract decent players in the immediate future due to the likely failure to get Champions League football. He's also sat by while this has happened in front of him rather than taking decisive action. If I lost...

    Ange departs

On Nuno, yet again I'll say his situation does not compare to Ange's. The narrative around Nuno was all wrong to begin with. He was someone the club had "settled for," way down the list of preferred candidates who had turned us down. Now, I was pleased when he was appointed as I thought he had...

*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Wolverhampton Wanderers ***

Plus a defensive shape that is all over the place. It's like the 4 players play independently of each other rather than a unit. Each one decides where they should be rather than the unit being set up properly, with positions drilled. It's telling that the main changes yesterday were in defence...

Indeed. Being this bad requires some training. Poor bloke that comes next has to untrain this brick show.

    Ange departs

Don’t necessarily agree with all of that re Players. Romero yes but Dom Solanke in a team that is properly drilled is a very good player imho. He showed that last year with Bournemouth and has shown it before his latest injury this year. I also think a better manager could get a hell of a lot...

You could put up a still on the defensive positioning for every goal we conceded yesterday and end up gasping so much your partner might think you've developed asthma!

    Ange departs

I agree with pretty much all of that except that he is Bielsa MK 11. Like the Martinez comparison that's wide of the mark IMHO. Bielsa has shown multiple times he is a decent manager. And it's not hyperbole, in this case, to say Ange is out of his depth.

    Ange departs

That just wouldn't make sense. You can't switch on and off between games. I accept that the manager would want to rest players but if that is the case, at least send out a team that looked even slightly drilled in the system you want to play. The defensive positioning looked as ridiculous as it...

He was a lot better manager than Ange.

Different players though in the main. Ange has changed the playing staff quite considerably.

He joins the other "best managers" we've ever had, Ramos and Graham

Which is why league form matters even now. If he is going to remain then he needs to show with his preferred team he can get results.

With a strong team here, we should be getting at least a draw.
