***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v BVB***

And get this - Real Madrid won their game 6-0 tonight, yet they only lead us in goal difference by a goal. Don't mean a thing, obviously, but mildly interesting.

1-2 FT. Great all round performance. First comeback of the season. Top of the group! Lots of great individual performances. Well done Poch. Sorry for doubting you. Now put some time in on our dead balls !!!!!

Did you see that save Burki pulled off from Dier's header? You couldn't have put a better corner in and we couldn't have attacked it better. Unlucky!

Well, there might be a flipside of scoring from set pieces. Liverpool scored two set piece goals. And then conceded 3 from set pieces :D

Good result but could have been very different if the officials started giving them goals right, left and centre or allowed one of their players to rugby tackle our players and perform x-rated challenges on them without due punishment.

That wasn't the only reason that we lost against Arsenal. Plus, we did have some decisions favour us on Saturday albeit the crucial ones went for them. Anyway, let's not compare, just enjoy tonight's victory on its own merits.

I agree. I think that it is our strongest option currently. I also think that it may help Alli recover his form because he has a little more space and time to play.

And equally importantly it allows Son to play up front with Kane. Gives us many more attacking options imo.

*Now* throw the APOEL game if you want. *Now* we can relax.

But we needed our full first team to beat Dortmund today. And I'm glad we put that team out there.

Game was Dortmund's for the first thirty minutes, then the goal woke us up and we never took our foot of the gas from that point on. Kane scores a snapshot - Son does Son, and scores a wonderful goal instead of a simple one. 13 points, two wins against Dortmund, one against Madrid, and unbeaten heading into the dead rubber at APOEL - a fine display all-round in our second CL campaign under Poch.

Here, here!

Such a weird game but a great result at a very good time. The fact that Dortmund ran out the best side they could field on the day (I know, no Pulisic) ahead of a crucial derby on Saturday shows they were taking the game seriously. And we did too. Probably the same motivations for each manager - use this game to overcome the weekend's disappointing loss.

Well, it certainly worked for Spurs. Kane and Alli moved far more effortlessly than against Arsenal. Winks was absolutely dynamic and Aurier put himself about quite nicely and stayed out of trouble. Rose just rose and rose with his efforts as the game went on and looked like he was absolutely enjoying himself. All good, necessary developments to see happening as we head into the Christmas crunch and will lean on squad depth to keep the points coming in.

Big chances now for some squad players against Apoel in December. Gonna be some heavy duty work done in training by the up-and-comers until then.

Mostly, though, it was the sort of result that told that barking, baying, bollox-spouting media pack to just STFU.
