OMT Tottenham vs Liverpool

I know that he is a twunt but Lawro just said this:

Vincent Janssen hasn't got the pace. His movement is good and he is good at holding the ball up.

If you play with him, it is up to the midfield players to get in and around him.

A central defender can get really tight and not worry about the space in behind.

I think it will be a point Pochettino makes at half-time to his players.

Palace have a better atmosphere. But maybe by 'atmosphere' Souness means the smell of rotting over-flowing bins and burning tyres.

souness made the mistake of once not saying gerrard was the best player in the world and the dippers turned on him, he's spent the last 5 years fellating at every opportunity

It's times like these I really regret we didn't sign Dembele mi. Goal scorers are at a real premium and we have too many similar players coming through.

He doesn't have anyone within 30 yards of him most of the time he gets the ball!! How the hell is he meant to look good?!?!?

He is up against some bloke called Arnold, Lucas playing at center-back, Ragnar Klavan and Moreno. With Mignolet in goal. What, does he need Maradona and Pele running off him to look good against this lot?!?

That's broadly fair isn't it? I don't think he'd beat more than half the CBs in the PL in a foot race

That's five against one, what are you expecting?
Daniel sturridge, one of England's finest missed a one on one with a keeper a lot on here don't rate.

I said the same a week or two ago. He's no threat to dummy, turn, or otherwise create space and shoot. Consequently, there's only one direction the ball is going at his feet, and it's backwards not goalwards.

He does need to learn that in England defenders come to the ball for interceptions though so if he wants to let the ball rolling across his body he has to use his body to stop the tackle coming in - you don't just get to let it roll in England

Honestly. So he's expected to take the ball down, turn his marker, beat the rest of the back 4 and slot it past the keeper? GKN needs to get closer to him and Carroll and Onomah need replacing and then shooting

We should go 3-5-2. It's pointless playing Janssen as lone striker unless you have bunch of attacking midfielders centrally who think they are really forwards. We have a bunch of defensive midfielders. Carroll is not a #10 for starters. Janssen desperately needs some support.

That's one U-21 player, a DM awkwardly stuffed into defense, two reserve players and a goalie with legendarily shaky hands.
I guess what I'm trying to get at is that this is the closest he'll get to Eredivisie-level opposition coming from a top-flight team. And it would be *nice* if he did a bit more, rolled a player or two, got a shot off from the middle of the field, looked like he was superior to the players assigned to keep him contained. Because he is - at least, we're all hoping he is.
