***OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Monaco***

I know but Harry looks like a cart horse and hes been shod incorrectly!
His replacement really winds me up.....Yes he may improve but I can't see a premier league striker in Janssen!

Both just need confidence. That's all. We forget one is 23 the other 22 and new to the team.

Stop talking sense, man! We just suffered the most humiliating defeat in modern football history and are a laughing stock with a lazy squad not fit to wear the shirt.

I think it's far too early to judge, but I can see from his early games that he appears to lack guile or finesse- he is definately more ox than fox.

Hope your right!

Janssen looks too industrial for me.....not at all impressed.

Good news is I'm usually totally wrong!

He had plenty of both last season, though. He's either just tired or going through a really awful spell, that's all.

Different era. Yes you get the Greek-like cup teams who defend their way through cups now and again (and it only highlights our weak defending first half), but they are the exceptions that prove the rule: most CL winners create chances...and ofcourse score.

So we didn't defend well or score many of our chances but we did create by far the majority of goal scoring chances.

Ultimately it was this side's first CL game, on a new pitch in a new stadium. They looked hesitant. But should be better next time.

And I echo @monkeybarry - credit to Monaco. They came, they got over the unfortunate loss of Dirar early on, and they frustrated us superbly well. We had chances to equalize, but it was a commendable rear-guard effort from them, and I'm glad we got a chance to see a skillfully-executed tactical low-block in action on the European stage - although, obviously, I'm a bit disappointed that we're still being foiled by such a ploy.

Just getting back in form, IMO. Looked quite sharp for a while on the first half today, better than I've seen him earlier this season. Second half, not so good. But he's improving, and he'll come good this season too.

That nagging whisper that Janssen may not be sufficiently complementary to Kane to cut it as a second striker option (albeit that he might be a decent stand-in) got a little bit louder tonight. He doesn't really look the game-changing type so far.

So even with a bigger pitch the opposition are able to sit back and deny us space and chances. So much for the excuse that the WHL pitch was too small

I still think we failed in not signing another highly creative player to help the team in the last third.

Hope he improves like we all do, but sadly I just can't see it....
