*** Tottenham vs Palace FA Cup OMT ***

I've got plenty of pride for our history when this competition used to have value.

It doesn't any more - it's only very slightly more important than the BT Sport 5 Cup

personally, I think the FA cup should be our lowest priority

EL has a CL spot and the LC is midweek and out of the way early, you also have no chance of playing on non league quagmires or having to slum it in crappy changing rooms

Great. Out of an important competition yet still in Europe's answer to the Johnston Paint Trophy.

Never thought I'd say this but the best case scenario is Fiorentina put us out swiftly and quickly in the 2nd leg so we can focus on the league. Worst case scenario is we reach the semi final of the f**king thing.

Gutted about that. Luck wasn't on our side on a few occasions, but we were also were sloppy at times. We were terrible in the last 25 minutes or so. We made the simplest of mistakes when it came to passing, touches and decisions. We were also caught up in the game Palace was playing instead of keeping cool and playing our own game. We committed far too many stupid fouls.

You sensed it wasn't going to be our day when those early chances didn't go in, though.

Thursday can't come quickly enough now. The feeling after a defeat is always terrible.

We only beat Southend and Leicester reserves, it's not as though we played our way to this stage via some great challenge...

I noticed Emirates Marketing Project played a load of kids today against Cheatski too, I haven't heard of a load of them.

It isn't a joke of a competition but it's nothing in comparison to winning the league and for once in my lifetime we Have a real chance

I still think Europa is a massive probelm

Our record after Europa games isn't good in games we should have won and it's costing us ...

Nothing to do with players bring fresh or swapped around. It's all to do wih the change to the routine and the travelling when required

Did we even deserve to be in it the penalty we were given against Leicester was embarrassing

shorter prep time is the key imo

Yeah we did!
But it just didn't happen IMHO - few tired legs me thinks. The last thing we would have needed was a replay.....

How can you say we wanted it? There was no urgency in the end.
Sure we played well at times and should have scored, got a pen and a cabaye red card but we never tried to force it.
It was all summed by the corner we got in the 91st minute. Only 5 players in the box.

Very true AVB, that pen was a joke.

Couldn't tell who had Thai Rum last night, me or the players, was awful in the last 20 minutes, Onomah's shot which was blocked must've been the only attempt during that period.

Absolutely f'ing gutted. Seriously, are we ever gonna win this competition?

According to the players I've met who have played in it, it's all about about the change of routine and having no time at home

Phil Neville did a great radio thing about it a few years a go and said you never see your family only the plane, bus hotel and a sub standard pitch in Outer Mongolia

I missed half of the first half, after getting there in time for kick-off and realising I didn't have the sodding ticket they sent me for my moved seat, so I had to go home again and get it. I should have realised after that balls-up it'd be a bust.

A rotation too far; our midfield (and Bentaleb in particular) was poor. Vorm beaten at his near post as well; not the best display, to say the least.
