I think we urgently need a new back up goalie. People can say it's because Vorm hasn't had minutes on the pitch, but I never felt this worried about Friedal or Cudicini coming in. Can you imagine the remainder of the season if Lloris was out injured?

Honestly we would end up with one of youth keepers playing, saw one in a preseason/friendly/something and he was pretty decent.

Agreed. I think Vorm makes more crucial mistakes than Gomes. Not sure why we never get a better backup goalie than him.

I'm normally in favour of rotating but tonight is different.
We've played these three times this season and haven't won yet.
We have a good draw next round when we can rest a few and still progress.
We haven't won the FA cup in an awfully long time but have watched our neighbours do so, consecutively.
We sacrificed the League Cup for the PL ( which I agreed with). I don't think we should do the same for a superior competition especially as we have a difficult Europa league draw and could easily go out in the next round.
I think that's enough reasons to go full strength or near full strength tonight.
Only Dier,Kane and Toby should even be considered for a rest and I would be tempted to play Kane.
And please keep Vorm away from the sticks! Cost us last year in this fixture and gave an horrendous performance in the LC semi at Sheffield last year. A really disappointing signing and needs to be replaced or youth promoted to back up keeper.
If we Play a near full strength team I expect us to win, if not , it could be a long night

Those were the days when our team had some "proper" old style football names - Arthur, Bill, Tommy, Bobby, Ted, Freddy, Jimmy, Bert. Leicester had a couple of dodgy ones though - Horace, Francis, Claude, Edwin!

I have been struck recently by the most unusual names of virtually all the players we seem to currently have an interest in. Go to the Transfer thread and check it out. Moussa almost seems common by comparison!!!

Toby and Wimmer looked fine in the last game, I'd pick them again, same goes for Vorm.Lamela came off after 70 minutes or so v Sunderland, so I'd let him play this one. Bring in Davies and let Trippier play again, he hasn't had much football overall this season. For the love of Ghod, give Dier the night off. Let Dembele play, he's had a rest lately.

I'd play pretty strong teams in the next two games. If we do go through tonight then he can rest some players against Colchester. The next game after the Palace game is in 10 days and away to Norwich so enough rest for the big guns.
