Emmanuel Adebayor - Officially gone \o/

There you go with that thinking polar opposites are the same thing again.

Try again but think about it this time. One is wanting Spurs to lose and being happy because of it, the other is getting angry because Spurs lost.

Nobody deserves Ade, I wouldn't wish that on Arsenal or Chelsea.

It's hardly polar opposites at all. It was obvious for anyone to see how much some were wanting us to lose under Sherwood. In fact one or two people even said that they actually wanted us to start losing games so Sherwood would go. If activley wanting us to lose is the polar opposite of celebrating a defeat then you tell me.

Ade is the player the fans deserve, no less.

Well this is just stupid.

Also how come the supposedly stupid and clueless Sherwood was able to get consistently top performances from Ade but Poch and AVB werent? Genuine question and points to an inability or an unwillingness to manage him effectively. Which when he's the most high profile and highly paid attacking player in the squad is scandalous IMO

Exactly, the style under Sherwood was better suited for him for starters. The AVB and Poch eras have just highlighted how well Sherwood did under difficult circumstances yet will never ever get the credit he deserves because of his outspoken views. Redknapp wasn't wrong when he said foreign managers (speaking in general terms) just tend to over complicate things with their systems, rotation etc what is fundamentally is a simple game. Some won't like that but it's so true...

People will say that Ade was just playing for a contract. Well in that case give him a year to year rolling contract I say. He'd be in the top three PL scorers every year.

He had a point to prove - nothing to do with Sherwood other than the fact that Sherwood wasn't AVB. You could have been caretaker, or Ramos or my nan and Ade would have performed to prove that point.

He also went off the boil again very quickly once that point had been proven.

Being angry at Sherwood because we lost and wanting Spurs to lose are still two very different things.

I think what you've done is taken the opinion of one poster (I can only remember one saying that it would probably be better for Spurs if we lost) and attributed his opinion to everyone who disagrees with you.

I'm sure even you can see the flaw in that argument.

Adebayor is a player who cant take criticism on the field or off. Reacts like a child.

He's lost it numerous times against Arsenal.
He lost it against AVB.

And he has huge issues with our fans. Fair enough they are mostly the same people who sang THAT song at him. There's no way he's not aware of the song. And he's not the type of guy to just shake something like that off. He reacted over comments he heard last September.

“He’s a good manager and we just have to find a way so that we can try to understand what he wants to tell us and how he wants us to play and put that on the pitch. If every player could do what the manager wants then we would win the Champions League. But at the moment we are not getting the message. To me, he is a good manager and a good man – we just have to get what he is telling us."

Fair comment from ade? Or veiled threat?

Badly phrased is about it I would say. They can't get how Poch is trying to make them play is how I read it, which is worrying in itself.

Imagine having poor(ish) English and going from AvB's communication style to Sherwood and now to Poch. In fact I would pay to see those three trying to talk tactics to each other.

Not sure, but isn't it nice of Ade to arbitrarily decide that this manager is a good one. Where would we be without him making decisions on who is capable of managing our club?

We all know it's true. Adebayor has the Nikalas Bentner's about him. He think's he's right up there with the very best big forwards , the Drogba's , Ibrahimovic . A legend in his own mind, an untouchable, and he plays for a club he thinks is beneath his talent and who's chairman, sacked a manager in order to get him back into the team!

We all know Ade is a ticking time bomb, a manager's nightmare . If Ade plays and he get's goals, then all is well in the world . If Ade plays and does not score goals, then soon enough the managers tactics are to blame and there's a fallout. If the manager so much as decides that due to his poor performances or for any other reason , that Ade must be benched, the reaction from this 'star' player is a negative, he will play-up, he will come off the bench and not break sweat.

He divides the dressing room because he never looks at his own performance preferring instead to blame others. After the 4-0 Chelsea capitulation at Stamford Bridge last season, stories of confrontation emanated from the post match Spurs dressing room. The confrontations were that of Adebayor , along Tim Sherwood (who also incidentally also happens to play the blame game very well when things are not going well) launched a scathing attack on the Belgium center-half Vertonghen with accusations that he doesn't care and that his mind is on the World Cup. The verbal confrontation was only stopped from becoming a physical one by the intervention of the other players .

It's well known that Adebayor, has his followers in the Spurs dressing room but there are also players who do not get on with him . It's known that , Verts, Dembele and Eriksen all share a low opinion of the player/man that is more in tune with a previous Portugese manager. I side with them and I believe Spurs would do better without Adebayor. I also believe that after his latest interview, he's on his way out in the summer. We all know that on his return from the AFCN we will get nothing from him so I think, it's best we get him off the books ASAP and get in someone like J-Rod who wants to play for the manager and the shirt.

Fed up with his nonsense , can't believe we signed this troublesome player .

So where did you hear all this then?

So where did you hear all this then?

The dressing room row is on the internet and I've heard it in certain places where some of the players frequent , that on that day , Ade along with his mate Sherwood had a go at the World Cup bound players and that it nearly came to blows .

Dembele, Eriksen and Verts do not get on with him .

Maybe it's mind games but ade appears to be enjoying himself and vets, eriksen and dembele are playing with their heads down and lost a spring in their step.
