Connecting BT Hub to Sky On Demand

Just switched from Sky broadband to BT Infinity. But we've lost the On Demand service, can't download any box sets. Called BT and they asked me to press the WPS button on both the Sky box and BT router simultaneously, but it didn't work. Called Sky and they advised I would need to either purchase a wireless adaptor from Sky or somewhere cheaper like Amazon or purchase an ethernet cable again either from Sky or another outlet. I've got two Sky HD boxes, one in my room and one in the living room so ethernet is out of the question.

Can anyone a bit tech savvy help?

have you got something that looks like this connected to your sky box?? ie a sky wireless adapter

Did you look at the other actions, like the order you switched things on.. or going into the engineer part of the Sky box which someone tried.

I'll give that a go in my room because I just turned off the box downstairs, switched it back on and hey presto, On Demand is back \o/

Problem resolution suggests first find what does work (both in same room where one works) to prove the concept. It also means you don't have to belt up and down stairs to see what's happening - maybe missing a screen response en route

If OK then it's the signal strendth rather than compatibilty or registration

beyond that I have no such device or service so listen to others
