My mate is still convinced this is done all about the minor details. It has only come through an agent, but Poch has asked him to make sure his player signs nothing until we can make an offer. Now that might be a case that the agent has jumped the gun, but I certainly wouldnt bet against it now.

Mate, agent, a Pinch of salt and all that... ;)

So which player has Poch been talking to?

Rafa and his wife enjoyed England. His wife was very involved with community projects in Liverpool and they kept their house there, if the Liverpool fans I know are to be believed. So I agree he might be amenable to a return. He was willing to go to Chelsea and face a hostile relationship and I don't think it was purely about money.

That said, he is very outspoken about what he wants. He went very public on the needs he had just after the CL final at the beginning of the H&G saga. He seems just the type of manager Levy would want to avoid ... although often seems to get (Redknapp, Sherwood).

His family still live on the Wirral. Kids are scousers

Why do you feel its doomed to failure?
Pochettino is unknown quantity and although he has done well at Southampton, managers who has had success with their previous clubs don't always carry that success over to Spurs because the bald dude upstairs is a very difficult boss to work with.

Lovren, Ramirez or Ward-Prowse probably make the most sense.

Shaw, Lallana and Rodriguez are all out of our price range, and Shaw is the only one who fits a priority position

I dont know about that, if we really wanted/needed Lallana or Rodriguez I think we could afford them - Poch could well make a case and request we go after them as a provision of getting the job. Lallana will probably end up at Liverpool though and Shaw Id agree is out of range. Definitely think Rodriquez is within reach though....

I can think of worse places, but most of them are currently undergoing some kind of civil war.

Tottenham wouldn't look out of place if you picked it up and dropped it on the wrong side of the river - by my measure that's pretty bad.
To be fair you're don't live in Tottenham so you're not really qualified to make a judgement.

hope its not Ramirez.....rubbish. Id like Lovren, add him to Rakitic and we have a kinda Charlie/modders Croatian thing going on again:)

By your definition there's no such thing as a ****hole then. Think it through logically:

1) Person sees area
2) Person thinks area's a ****hole
3) Person chooses not to live in area because it's a ****hole
4) Person is no longer qualified to judge it as a ****hole

Or, lets come at it from another angle:

1) Person lives in area
2) Person realises area is a complete ****hole
3) Person moves out of ****hole
4) Person is no longer qualified to judge it as a ****hole

Shall we just agree that Tottenham's a ****hole? It really is.

I don't live in the area either, but Im with Scara - it is a bit of a dump. To be fair most surrounding areas of football grounds are though, I mean why would you plonk a football ground in the middle of a picturesque area?

How do you know it's ****hole if you never lived here? Have you been or seen all parts of Tottenham? Do you know the community? I can think of worse places outside of London that's probably a proper ****hole. Yeah Tottenham is no Kensington, but what do you expect from a working class area in London?

I think it's safe to say there's more than one ****hole in London.

You have to remember WHL was built in the late 19th century when Tottenham had a smaller population and the surrounding area wasn't as built up as now.

I honestly don't have a preference out of the names linked atm - I've come round to Benitez a bit more lately and would be content with him FdB or Pocchetino i think

Yes, let's get back to figuring out who would make the worst possible appointment.
