Eriksen is in danger of being overhyped to the extent that when he has a dip in form next season (if here) he'll get loads of stick.
This is the problem when you have a bad season with most players underperforming or just being dog****. One of the few to stand out as better than average gets credit then becomes a victim of their success when the chips are down. Seen it so many times before.
Erik sen sen sen has a great tune and is a good player but has alot to learn, let's hope it's with us and that one of the top four don't try bringing him in cos he would be a handy squad player for all of them (bar l'**** who have a million players like him).

Hopefully next season Erik will shine and prevent Christian being the sole and concentrated focal point of the media spotlight and fan's scrutiny.

Could happen of course, player plays out of his skin and people expect him to go from strength to strength and when the inevitable regression to the mean happens people are disappointed.
On the other hand I think most fans will have a lot more patience with Eriksen next season than Chadli, Lamela, Sig, Soldado, Paulinho etc. Becuase we'll know he's been there and done that. We know he has it in him.

Can see Eriksen going on to become a great player if he is managed by an experienced manager. His stats just proves it. He now has 10 goals and 10 assists for us in all competitions. Eriksen also has had 2 goals, 3 assists in 4 matches for Ajax before joining us this season. In total, Eriksen has 13 goals and 14 assists in 45 matches for Spurs, Ajax and Denmark. To score or create 27 goals in 45 matches is simply outstanding for a 22-year old. Hope we can keep him long term.

If Baldini doesn't have a long list of potential "next Eriksen" targets he should be given a bitch slap with one of those big orange cones off the training ground.
Lets stop selling our best players so we might actually be able to compete. Being realistic is important but retaining quality is essential.

nothing wrong with that but he could've said something earlier during avb's tenure to give the guy a boost

I do remember reading somewhere that erickson was a Sherwood recommendation.... And this was when avb was in charge.

Without meaning to denounce TS' claims, Eriksen was known to most of the European footballing world even back in 2011. I have no idea about whether or not Eriksen was a TS transfer although we do know that he wasn't an AVB signing (we only know that Paulinho and Soldado were players he wanted, according to the papers that is). At the start of last summer's window I reckoned Eriksen was going to go to a club late in the window as various clubs waited to see if they could get him at the last minute for cheap, I'm more inclined to believe that we got him because it was too good a value to believe. If we believe in the transfer committee then no doubt TS had input at this stage, but the article doesn't make that clear.
As a side note, Eriksen was playing regulalry for AVB until the Wham game where he was marked out of the game, but even after that he still started quite a few games. Then in November he was injured and didn't return until just before AVB got the axe. Whilst AVB may not have had a hand in the signing of Eriksen, I don't think he was marginalised to the extent others think.
