I have been behind AVB since he first started here and he was my number 1 to take over from Harry, but i really do feel we may need a fresh start. With the team we have got the tactics and set up is all wrong. We should be on par with Liverpool and Southampton in terms of football. We have 2 of the most promising and creative youngsters in world football in our squad and we are playing this ****? If i was our new players i would be thinking what have i done.
He signed a three year contract with us and he's into his second season, it'll be decision time for Levy at the end of the season, either give him another long contract to tie him up or let him go back to Europe when someone comes calling in the summer. I can't see AVB staying if Levy doesn't secure his services long-term this summer.

Our play is mind numbingly boring :lol: People used to say Barcelona could be boring because they possessioned the other team to death, they bored them to death. It is kind of like we're trying to do the same thing except we don't have Messi, Xavi, Iniesta or Alves.
Obviously the team needs to gel together (though not sure how they do that if AVB keeps on rotating the attacking players who will hopefully form the spine of our attacking by the end of the season) but until then, we should at least be able to create some chances from inside the box (though tbf, we did create a couple fo far this game). Even by fluke we should be doing this.
I think we need to tweak something defesively as well, Remy is looking far too likely to break through at the moment because neither of the 2 cms is providing a screen and Lloris isn't there to run out when both him and the defence are breached.
Siggy I feel has been almost non-existent. Townsend trying but often making wrong decisions. Eriksen with a few good chances created.

Looks the most likely to slow us down by taking 5-6 touches every time he has the ball making us easy to defend against is my take on it.
He's been ineffective, but flash all season. Can always hope that it changes in the second half of this game if he stays on the pitch. Of course I will hope for that if he is on the pitch, but I will be more hopeful of Lamela doing something with actual purpose.

Of course, it's because we have the combo of him and Vert down the left. No pace means Saudi Sportswashing Machine can get really tight, safe in the knowledge that space they leave down that side won't be exploited. Consequently, Sig keeps getting the ball facing away from goal and Verthongen has nowhere to go. Get Townsend over there and Lamela on the right.
