King and Kaboul all day long. Even in decline King would still be better then Dawson.

Well a) It wont be JUST Dawson there will be other defenders, b) All depends on kings fitness innit and c) It aint like Dawson is brick
 
VDV has excelled in offering little or no support for Ade, instead he delights in coming deep and picking the ball of our centre backs, yet some people think this is a good thing ](*,)

Keane ended up doing the same thing.

we have players that can bring the ball out - Kaboul, and players to pick it up - Modric, so VDV should be with spitting distance of the CF... look how many goals he got playing off Crouch, feeding off knock downs.

no point in isolating Ade so he has no-one to pass to.
 
When you have Modric in the middle of the park we do not need VDV coming so deep? We end up playing a lonely Ade up front on his own although I guess those of you that have backed Man Utd to win tomorrow will be satisfied with that

VDV lacks discipline he wants to be anywhere and everywhere and while it is commendable it is ultimately to the detriment of the team and does not help Ade out.

firstly, that King performance against the gooners worries me. hopefully it was a one-off, but his pace looks all but gone. that reduces him to lunging in which is a risky business.

secondly, it's than, not then... 'better than Dawson'. sorry, Pedant Alert but that really bothers me. i see it around a lot these days. :D

There's a difference between wanting and doing. I wanted to play VDV last week because that's the side that has gotten us to where we are, but alas he wasn't fully fit so I couldn't. Which part of this can you not grasp?
