How Liverpool fans work:

1. Surprise : linked with Soldado
2. Hope: he would be brilliant
3. Disgust: too much for a 28 year old
4. Foreboding: linked with spurs too
5. Despair: Spurs seem to had a deal accepted
6. Anger: Why is everyone in fuxking Australia, can't we use skpe FSG c*nts etc...AYRRRREEE
7. Suicidal thoughts: Why do spurs always do this to us

And this is different from Spurs fans how, exactly?

And this is different from Spurs fans how, exactly?

1. surprise link: ITK bashing begins
2. disgust: price vs age debates reignite
3. foreboding or more disgust: off topic issues and teenage posters involved in name calling
4. hope: we've signed him
5. despair: his stats versus his "general contribution" debate
6. anger: we could have won the league if we had gotten a real marquee signing
7. suicidal thoughts: Man U are now poaching him

Quick, show him some photos of people eating ice creams in Regent's Park before it starts tinkling down ag... Too late.

FFS why are we building a team of Brazilian, Spanish and Belgian internationals? Surely we could have got Dave McEwen or Andy Booth?

Somehow we'll find a way to not seal the deal, but IF we can... The squad suddenly looks superb on paper. Just need to sell 4 bits to Wigan, Hull etc

if the price is actually 20 + million then we wont be buying soldado. no way.

the only way i see that being the case is if we have incentives in place. If he scores 20 league goals then we pay an extra 2 million, if we make CL then extra 5.....if he gets 100 or more goals then extra 5 etc

we wont be signing this player for post 20 million outright.

i would go as far as to say we wont be signing him for more than 12 to 15 million

if they want 20 plus million this deal isnt happening

what if we do pay over 20 mill??? what will you think then?

seriously why do people care, it isnt our money, he scores goals and lots of them, ship him in !!!!

correct.

However there is a difference between people who care what we spend and others who dont think Levy will spend such an amount on this type of player (age related) I think African is in the 'Levy wont spend so much' camp

I said yesterday that Spurs have made some amazingly good buys in recent years for not much money with only Dembele and Paulinho each costing more than 10 mill....I really think the club and Levy can afford to splurge on a top striker, someone who can guarantee goals, and not worry about the financial consequences.

Would be so delighted if we signed him. I really think that signing him and keeping our current squad with no real injury worries could see us challenge for the title.

Well if Valencia have come out and said we aren't far off - you can bet your house its more than 20m - more like 25m euros and they want 30.

I'm not sure where this obsession with 'we won't pay x' has come from... Its like you take it to heart that we may spend 30m euros. Who knows.

We do NEED a goalscorer because I have had enough of the crap up front.

I actually think there is something very weird about this. The pictures to me seem too 'set up'...maybe we're just doing this so we can say "we tried" when we don't agree a deal (and there will be visual evidence to support this). Anyway i very much doubt we will go above 20m.

At the moment, he's just one of the players we are interested in. Roberto is one of the players we have been following and his career speaks for itself. He's a great striker. But there isn't a deal being struck at the moment, it's just interest and conversations.

Is what AVB had to say to sky sports this morning.
