Bullet dodged. Another hit and hope merchant, we have Defoe already.
What if it was AVB that didn't want him? We have no idea what their plans are.

i imagine that idiot will come in here in a minute and mention how after just ONE start in the african nations he failed to deliver
We should now be in for Michu, if he by any chance wants to leave Swansea (unlikely, but still). I'm sure he'd cost less than 25 million for Benteke, and to be honest his character, intelligence and movement are all streets ahead of the Villa man. Not sure if he can play up front on his own (seem to remember him moving forward from deep for Swansea), but if he can we should at least throw an enquiry Swansea's way, imo.
Here we are, in desperate need of a striker and we let one of the most promising, best value front men on the planet go to Swansea :ross:
You couldn't make it up!

Why? He probably isn't going anywhere. If we come knocking with £10m in a 5 or 6 weeks I'm sure we'll have no problem getting him if we really need to.
If we want a Spanish striker closing in on age 30 Roberto Soldado would be an infinitely better signing and probably wouldn't cost a great deal more.
I wouldn't be against signing Michu as a last resort - I just think there are still many options to get through before he becomes our first choice.
