OT: What next for Harry?

Re: Harry Redknapp

lol so glad Harry's not here any more. He's got a squad that should be midtable easily.

Re: Harry Redknapp

Not this. It's topical as his team got relegated yesterday. If it turns into a Harry bashing thread, then maybe 'this'. Or perhaps some more words to form an opinion.

The majority of posts in this thread so far have been 'Harry bashing'. He isn't our manager any more, hasn't been for a while. Discussions about the negative aspects of his personality have been done countless times on this forum.

Did we really need another hate Harry thread?

Move on, people. Move on.

If you are not interested - don't participate, 'fellas'

We should be able to talk about 'Arry as much as about the latest Suarez incident or any football topic in particular.

I think there should be an approved list of topics at the start of the week, just in case it upsets someone.

Re: Harry Redknapp

Wow - if the season had started after our 5-2 at the emirates we'd be second:eek:

I think more importantly when you consider our opening 3 games of the season (L 2-1 v Saudi Sportswashing Machine and 2 home 1-1 draws with WBA & Norwich), if we'd started the season fully prepared, with transfer targets sorted before the season started and AVB given a chance to bed everything in, we'd be 3rd and that's probably where we'd have finished too.

seriously thought you were kidding until i googled it

agree- nothing short of awesome.

edit: compare these two tables to see how we do it the hard way:

http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2012-2013/versus-bottom-half/full

and

http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/premier-league/2012-2013/versus-top-half/full

Interesting that while we are 2nd to Man Utd in terms of points won versus top half of the table teams, we have actually won the most games against top half opponents than any other team in the Premiership (9 wins). We have lost more games than Man Utd, so their superiority in points gained comes from draws.

This is mirrored in a lesser extent in our overall league standings in that we have a very high win percentage, I think comparable to all but Man Utd's but then we have lost more games than City and then one or two more games than Arsenal & Chelsea. We have also lost more games than Everton and only lost one or two less than Liverpool.

The difference is that we have won the other games rather than draw them. This is all off the top of my head btw

To me this points to the fact that this season AVB has set the team up to win every single game, more so than other managers. Sometimes it has worked out other times it hasn't, but we appear to have been done a few times going for the win when other teams have settled for grinding out a point.

Alternatively, I should have course just be talking complete bollox

Re: Harry Redknapp

I cringed when i saw this thread go up.

Not because we shouldn't talk about HR.

But because it was obvious the arguing would start soon enough.

I wish Harry would retire, but i reckon even then some would argue about where his daily walk would take him.

It's been a year now, almost. We should all have got over this really.
