***TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs WOOLWICH ARS*NAL OMT***

I'm genuinely shocked that Podolski has been dropped in favour of Ramsey to put Cazorla on the wing.

Cazorla is poor out wide, beast when he comes inside a bit though.

Can see a lot of space out on the flanks, hoping Bale drifts out wide now and again

Makes sense for them to try to control the game from the centre of midfield. Pololski for all his talents doesnt track back. They need someone to keep an eye on Walker.

Podolski has an unreal work rate though. For all of Podolski defensive deficiencies, he is much better than Cazorla in that role.

Good management showing faith in the Sig. Love that AVB puts trust in players when they show him something.

I haven't seen that much of Arsenal season but Podolski has been called out a few times for not tracking back.
Carzola wont be tracking back neither but the extra central midfielder is meant able to pick up whichever of our full backs is attacking.

Arsenal team (vs Spurs): SIR CHESNEY, Jenkinson, EMPTINESS, Vermaelen, Monreal, Arteta, Wheelchair, Ramsey, CATHORLA, SIGNED DA TING, Giroud

"We will not do anything to make arrangements for Bale"

Except switch up half your team. <Insert clown shoe emoticon here>

For me, playing Siggurdson doesn't show "faith" per se, but I think he has a definite plan. He has performed well in games in the past and not got a start, so why now in our biggest game of the season? He obviously feels we can do damage in some way (shots from distance perhaps with Szcezney making mistakes in recent weeks). It could be a tactical masterclass decision to start Siggy or it could be a mistake and he could be totally overrun.

Holtby gives us better ability ON the ball, has work rate and desire so I can't wait to see him entered into the game, maybe AVB thought the game come a bit to soon for him? I do feel Sigurdsson has deserved it though as he has shown promising signs when coming off the bench in recent months.

As you said, Szcezny has been a bit brick from long range so good idea to test him with a few Siggy shots. And he's been good most matches he's come on recently imo.

I expect Sigurdsson will drop into central midfield. You can't expect Arsenal to have 3 in the middle and us to have 2, they'll kill us.

Think we'll win 3-1. Adebayor, SIggy and then Bale with the 3rd.

Good to see Defoe back; can see him starting v Inter on Thurs along with Gallas, Naughton, Caulker & Holtby.

SIggy will be playing left midfield so more likely Bale will drop back and pick up their deepest CM
