Parker has lost all defensive ability he has due to his injury, players just ghost past him and brush him off with ease unfortunately.

What some of our supporters expect, away to CL opposition, is beyond me. brick first-half, much improved second-half, at least two clear-cut chances missed, two more excellent half-chances, pressure and eventually the goal. You have to wonder what people expect...I think it was a fine second-half. Again, for me, the Livermore on-Parker off was critical...
 
I love reading you ****s lose it!!! Haha.... I love the Europa league. I even love Parker, Ekotto, Walker even though they brick!!!
 
I'm really pleased for the travelling fans and those that get to watch us out in the San Siro well done boys.

It does paper over some cracks as pointed out but alls well that ends well.
 
This season has been so tense... I'd love to sit here and talk about how we papered over cracks but, I'm honestly far too elated to say anything negative. COYS. Bloody great goal aswell.
 
We definitely have an issue with movement, and breaking down massed defences. But then, we've had that for the last four years or so, ever since teams actually started defending in depth against us. It's not a new problem.

I'm just glad someone other than Bale scored, and even if it was a 25-metre wallop, that should give Dembele some of his confidence back. Just in time for W'ham and Arsenal. Good result, when seen in that light.

I think we really miss Sandro.
 
Ok look we have issues for sure but you might say the same about Barca v Milan last night. We fluctuate but we need a strong performance soon. Really would like to see Holtby and Dembele as a cm duo.
 
That was the most ecstatic moment as a Spurs fan for a while. Winning a cup ties late feels extreme well. Well, winning cup ties at all feel extremely well actually.
 
Wait, we outscored Lyon over two legs, and scored at the perfect so we didn't have to defend for 90mins or whatever. Perfect outcome in my opinion, and we were patient in build up and kept the ball - well they allowed us to by sitting back. Lyon weren't brave enough, we just did enough - and in the knock out stages, that's all we need. Builds up our confidence and resilience.

Fab-tastic !
 
I'm not sure we deployed holtby in the best way tonight, integrating him into the starting 11 still a work in progress

I'm sure we'll sort it though as he's the best we have now, next season him and sandro are gonna take some beating

There are issues but he has found a way to overcome them. They need serious addressing in the summer. Two new strikers would be superb.

Really don't think it's a striker issue. Our midfield are horribly slow at moving the ball. Getting any sort of service to Lennon and Bale let alone Ade is shocking right now. We miss Modric massively.
