Re: Gareth Bale

How is it spot on?

He's had numerous monster games for us under previous management who apparently gave him no specific instructions. Yesterday he was good but are you forgetting him tearing numerous 'big teams' a new arsehole like Inter, Arsenal and a few others. Again he was good yesterday but he's had far better games than that so lets not start getting over excited now.

I've realised how people operate on here now. After one good game a lot of people get over excited and ignore previous games. bale until yesterday has been mediocre so lets not go on as if he's suddenly become this monster player.

Agreed...

It was only yesterday and maybe against QPR that he has shown glimpses of his old form.

Dont forget didnt the previous Manager help him not only win Bales first game for spurs etc etc etc and also make him the 30-40m player he is today?

No doubting he was brilliant for us under Harry but you hear things from players about Harry's lack of instruction, nothing teamtalks, Pav - fudging run around springs to mind...

I cant imagine AVB saying Bale fudging run about can you

I dont think Bale has been great this season but after reading his interview in the guardian yesterday suddenly things make more sense, as good a player as he is, he has taken a while to get used to his new role and instruction, maybe he has cracked it now and we will see him back to his absolute best over the next few weeks

Re: Gareth Bale

Also, his big games before was when he was relatively unknown and hadn't shown what he can do, before he was being doubled, tripled marked, before goalkeepers, defenders new exactly what he was capable of. It's much more difficult ow and what makes a player truly great, when they can still do it when everyone is out to stop you.

Re: Gareth Bale

...because rather than just being told to play his natural game, blah blah blah, he is now actually receiving some specific coaching...:-"

this is why the harry redknapp issue wont die anytime soon

i'll give it a day or two in memory of the great gigantic win yesterday before sitting down and addressing this folly .;)

actually need to put a smiley here as i am sure when people see me type harry redknapp they imagine me with a scowl on me head...which is not the cas..at least now now LOL

wow, you know what...thats a top post considering its from an angle i dont agree with

all i can say is this. Harry redknapp when giving instructions or coaching does not focus on "run around abit"...he just doesnt.

Re: Gareth Bale

He did well against ManU. But now you have to be worried about ManU coming for him at the end of the season. ManU are so fond of signing players who did well against them. Despite his long contract with us, there is nothing we can do if they manager to influence him. Hope we can convince him to stay for a long time.

I don't see any great changes to his game, he's just coming back into form

United don't have the money to buy Bale

A very valid point

Re: Gareth Bale

Defoe was superb off the ball yesterday

Not only that, I think some of the stupid people have said he cant hold the ball up, I'm sure I saw him get it out wide, half the size of Ferdinand...held him off, rounded him with the ball, played through Bale, Bales shot was parried for Dempsey to score.

Do these people not kind of feel embarassed at times ?
