I firmly, and I mean firmly, believe that if the belief and energy can be cultivated from everywhere, we will click in the coming weeks and everyone will look back and laugh at this. Of course it's shaky. The entire club has been swiveled in all manner of ways. It is going to take time and a platform of calm, which will be enforced once the window closes tomorrow and everyone can stop fudging banging on about who's brick, show shouldn't be here, how disappointed people are, and we actually see what we have. At which point I firmly hope people can find it in themselves to believe a bit.

I understand the fear people are feeling, especially after last season, however humanity's ability to live in past misery and drag into untold and unknown futures is consistently mind-boggling to me. There is a difference between practical common-sense (I certainly needed a dose to remind me the league was not coming our way this season LOL) and outright doom-scaping based on fears and insecurities.

I'll say this. IF we cannot do that as a fanbase, it'll be far more fudging toxic than having Richy or Tosin as our 4th/5th CB!!!!

Nailed on surely? Juve have been very shrewd - Vicario in, Sarr in, Woltemade in, Kolo Muani back from loan.....

Oh definitely, the squads looking fairly good in my opinion, lacks goals obviously, but a few guys will chip in 10 each and we’ll see where we are. A bit concerned about the individuals in defence, I think we’ve regressed there, but as a team we will be keeping the ball and defending better I’m sure.

The biggest issue right now is we are totally unfit and he can’t put anything like his best, most balanced, team out yet because of niggly injuries picked up in pre season and poor conditioning (Tonali, Solanke, Udogie, Fernandes, etc.). If he’s able to put something close to a first XI out (barring the long term injuries) then we’ll be fine won’t take long to click. Pre season has been a shocker!

You, more than most here understand what the connection with the manager buys the team/club/fans, it's not hyperbole to say it's the difference between success and failure at Spurs.

By buying two Chelsea rejects, we have not helped our manager, we have not bought him time, we have (likely) actually sabotaged his relationship with at least some component of our fanbase.

TBH I think he has backed himself into an area now based on his idealistic squad build, very very specific set of rules around those that join and those that stay seemingly, for RDZ based on the window before yesterday mean he HAS to make it work.

Yeh, I think sensibly you give them the season off and have no expectations.

Last season Madison done his at the start of August and played minutes at the end of the season. Yes, you're going to say 'but not very well'. BUT Oderbert done his at the start of Feb and Xavi at the start of May.

That's 6 and 3 months respectively more recovery time than Madders if they were to come back only at the end of this season. (For Odobert that would be 14/15 months, madness)

Bentancur done his the same time of year as Odobert in Feb 23 ....he played again at the end of Oct 23. Before Cash fudged his ankle in late Nov 23

Plus they're young...as long as rehab goes averagely well they should heal faster

There's only one loud voice that says 'back the manager' and that is RDZ himself. It's the thing he's always demanded....and he's got that here lock stock and barrel. It's a very good thing, especially for him!.

We're simply left believing in him (and I do have strong belief in him), but if it doesn't work...jeepers weepers they'll be RDZ residue everywhere

The only possible complication with Oderbert is he wasn't long back from a surgical repair of his hamstring when he done his ACL...so maybe extra caution??

Btw ...can't believe how short the Bentancur recovery was.

I didn't want those players but RDZ is likely on board with their signing. I don't buy into the idea that we can't sign players from certain clubs. They might be rejects and I agree but if the coach wants them and feels they add something then who are we to say no I guess.

You know some Chelsea "rejects" have went on to have pretty fine careers.
There's this guy Salah and another one called kdb who between them effectively monopolised the trophy haul in England and didn't do two badly in the CL either.
It's about time our fanbase started to pay more attention to the club than a bunch of no marks on YouTube.
Honestly believe there is an element of our support that hate other clubs more than they love their own.
