Well, we look much better than last week. I mean there’s no bar to be above because the bar was on the floor rolling away last week, but we at least don’t look as awful as that.

We look like exactly what we are, a group of players who in the most part are new to one another and haven’t played together much.

I can sort of see the idea though, it just won’t fully click till the players have time together and grow those relationships.

Robertson has been good this half, Tonali is growing into it and had some good moments late on, I already like what Marmoush brings, he’s quicker, the ball has stuck with him and it doesn’t bounce off his first touch, a couple of times now he’s brought it down, held on to it and kept us up the field.

In honesty, I don’t think much has changed in the sense of we just need our players back. As I say, I can see what the idea is, at the moment we just have a few second or third choices trying to do it.

You could put Moore there if he's on the bench. He's better at beating his man so might do better. Honestly we are still lacking in a depth of quality.

For me I just need some signs of the future and then the baby steps towards them is fine for me. Watching this game, I think it's easily better than the vast majority of performances we put in over the last 2 seasons and that's without even being especially good as yet.

I am not trying to be unreasonable BTW, but there has to be a balance between style and getting results, there seems a level of acceptance that its ok to us PL games now to bed in players and style which I 100% get an agree with to an extent.

I don't think this is particularly any better than we have seen, its actually no better than RDZ at the end of last season IMO.

I expect it to improve but I can't call today progress,

But you're right at least he tries. Would rather that than a ghost B Johnson "performance"
 
Wow some weird reactions to that half in here. Of course we don't look like a well oiled machine...yet but we're a lot more positive than last season already, a lot more vertical. I thought the last 20 minutes looked like once it gels we could be devastating.
