Sounds like Chelsea may get 65 mil for Jackson too. That’s what we sold Romero AND Spence for collectively.50m for 1 goal Delap. 1 year after he went for 30m. How do you have a terrible season and then be worth 20m more.

Solanke and Davies also association trainedOnly if you count Takai and the injured players. There is zero chance that Xavi will be able to play before the second half of the season as well as question marks about Kulu.

18. Takai. *
We're basically fine at present just not registering Xavi. Takai wants a loan and I'm sure we'll be happy to loan him so that opens up a place for Marmoush.
If we happened to sign another overseas player who is over 21 (I don't think we'll sign anyone after Marmoush) then I suspect that would be covered by Sarr being sold (I expect him to get sold anyway irrespective).
Our association trained list at present would be:
1. Archer
2. Danso
3. Maddison
4. Gallagher
5. Scarlett
6. Odobert * (unlikely to be back until second half of the season).
We then have Moore, Tel, Gray, Bergval and Souza as under 21s - Moore, Gray and Bergval will both count as association trained (and club trained) when they reach 21.
We finished 17th twice in a row, signing me would be a damn bombaso who was the bomba? savio or marmoush? to city bench warmers? hardly hits as a bomba.
Ah yes. Thanks. Point kind of stands though. We still have a space in the squad for Marmoush and likely one more if we sell Sarr (as expected).Solanke and Davies also association trained
The market is just all over tbe shop in all honestyAsk the people behind the Savinho deal
its crazy for internal PL proven players. That is why we suffered with our sales as they have all gone out of the EPL. Sell Spence for 31m but get offrered 50m for Bergvail and sell Luskovic for that much when he has never even played a game here. The market is just all over tbe shop in all honesty
What happened there? They basically operated a wage bill equivalent to a club of our (high) turnover for the past 3 or 4 years, despite them being a club with around half of our turnover. If you add on the amortised transfer fees paid to that high wage bill then it means that every summerAs someone who has a lot of family who support Villa. I am not against them. I feel sorry for them that their team is getting pulled apart. Its been happening every summer for them. Start with Duran to the middle east then last summer they only got in loan players.
So my point on this has to be. To have a wage player turnover of 90% of their whole clubs revenue. What happened here? did they over pay in wages to get up higher than they should have? how do you manage a club in that manner that its so high. Surely this needs to be addressed before everyone says PSR is responsible after 14 teams voted it in. Their revenue was 450m which is not too shabby. 13th overall in Europe. So they must be paying their players very very high wages.
I suspect that this summer is a bit of an anomaly. Our squad was light on quality and numbers there were also a few players wanting out that we were going to lose who had decent experience of PL football. It was therefore important that where we made signings for the first team they could come in already being adapted to playing in the Premier League. We're potentially making as many as 7 or 8 changes from what was considered the first team at the start of last season (goalkeeper, left back, at least one centre back, two central midfielders, winger (perhaps 2) and centre forward). That is a hell of a lot of change and a big risk if all or even most of the players coming in are coming in cold.its crazy for internal PL proven players. That is why we suffered with our sales as they have all gone out of the EPL. Sell Spence for 31m but get offrered 50m for Bergvail and sell Luskovic for that much when he has never even played a game here.
This should push teams to buy abroad. But we have not done that once this summer. I can only assume RD has demanded some proven PL players.
thanks. appreciate the extensive reply. I was guessing some of this but now it just confirms they brought it on themselves. This current idea to just blindly blame PSR is almost a smoke screen then for bad squad management. What happened there? before they even start their planning of what they are going to do in terms of signings, they have to factor in making a large chunk of transfer 'profit' (difference between sale price and remaining net book value) to meet the PSR rules.
Has operating this way born fruit for Aston Villa? I would say that it has done so massively, they have managed to attract far better players than they would've had they spent 55% to 65% of their turnover on wages as is the typical recommendation. However the flip side is that they have to generate significant transfer profits every year to stay PSR compliant.
The real issue for Villa would happen if they missed CL and Europa League football altogether for a season or two. They would then have to do some really serous shedding of players.
