Roberto De Zerbi *OFFICIAL*

But the line up was largely made up of manager approved and fan approved players in the back 2/3 with players that have played and won games in the front 1/3.

I don't rate 2 of the front 3, but we didn't get hammered today and look all at sea at the back because of Richy, Moore and Tel.
I can't speak for fan approved but for me any team that has all of Tel, Gallagher, Richy, Moore, Gray and Bergvall in the same starting lineup is a team destined to struggle. I know thats an unpopular opinion but these are average to low quality performers and thats more than half the starting 11! Play them in the 11 all season and we will 100% play Championship football next year.😅

I don't put the blame on the front 3 today at all even thoughI don't rate them, the blame is the fault of the midfield and De Zerbi mainly for picking that midfield. I'd go as far as to say that he was a little deluded if he thought that the midfield he selected was going to be up to par.

He had a massively bad day at the office and looked flat

Also highlights why the argument that Richarlison can just play as a finisher in the box is flawed.

A striker who can't hold the ball, especially away from home just ends up with your team under constant pressure. Think how Kane would bring those in, win the free kick or clip it round the corner to start an attack. Instead we're playing through balls to the other team.

I was saying this in another thread yesterday, he actively limits our ability to attack because he loses it contantly. Today he lost it and it led directly to their goal (not blaming him, but he played his part).
