At Galatasary after tax he makes a salary of £12.5M per year with a £5.13M bonus as they have a flat 20% tax.

For Spurs to match this would cost £24.2M (£465k pw) with a £9.92M. That’s nearly double what Tonali & VDV are on. Factor in a £75M transfer fee and it’s an annual cost of £49.12M.

Assume we get back in to the UCL. That would be more than 10% of what we are allowed to spend on our entire football operation. If we only got in to Europa or Conference its 15%.

It would be a major risk and we would probably be forced to sell a marquee player to stay within UEFA regulations.

To be fair if we were to get Savinho & Gakpo over the line the only holes in the squad would be an elite #9 and #10….in part due to the fitness of Kulusevski, Maddison & Xavi.
