Politics, politics, politics (so long and thanks for all the fish)

The whole thing is fcuked here. Trumps taken us so far down the road, I don't know what the answer is anymore.
Trumps time won't last forever, but one of his legacies will be the destruction of American soft power, and indeed make its defence industry less relevant. Europe is pivoting away and the UK should too. The EU defence sector is ramping up significantly, and the UK needs to jump on that bandwagon.

Using UK air force bases to commit war crimes makes the UK government complicit. The argument that they are only for defensive actions is tosh.

Trump doesn't know the answer because he can't be arsed to put the effort in.

In a roundabout way everyone is playing him when he thinks it's the opposite.

Forever war looks the likely outcome (well, until he departs one way or other)

I heard he was back to a boots on the ground possibility...music to Iran's ears.

He seemed happy enough advocating for neo-liberalism during his many years working under Blair.
People change.

What was he then early 30s?...and I don't doubt quite a few were sucked in by the bright new world of Blair.

He had to junior minister roles in that time.

As an example I think it was him that was in charge of implementing the ID cards act way back when. Yet the other day he abolishes any modern policy on bringing them in. So are they a good idea or bad idea Andy?. It would be interesting to know his reasons, but in simple terms he's changed his mind on them.
