Pretty much everyone agrees that our chance creation was absolutely abysmal last season. Forwards play a part in that with their runs, but if we significantly improve our midfield and left wing, our forwards, no matter how poor they are, should score more goals.
More goals = more suitors and more money when you sell.
On the other hand, buying a new striker without addressing the left wing problem means there's a chance he'd flop too. Again, neither Richarlison nor Solanke are world beaters, but it's not a stretch to imagine they'd get better stats with better midfielders behind them.
