World Cup 2026: Mexico, USA and Canada

I’m watching ITV4 as that was showing Senegal v Iraq and I’ve just left the channel on. They are currently showing great goals of the 1990s. Some brilliant goals and I’d forgotten names that I ought to remember. Eg Tomas Brolin. And ones that I don’t really remember at all but good to see like Daniel Amokaci from Nigeria.
Worth a watch.
 
Not too shabby from Norway’s b-team against France, 4-1 scoreline flattered them somewhat. I can’t help but think that our main guys could’ve hurt them and we would’ve played Sweden next. But oh well, players rested, at least.

Always an interesting line between resting players and losing momentum in a tournament. Germany and USA the other teams that didn’t need to win, dropped their performance levels and lost their final game.

I understand giving players minutes in a tournament, but I also believe in momentum.... I think some Germany and US hurt themselves a little. The bench has to be good enough to maintain effort at a minimum.

The result covered cracks for France. People rightly complement their attack, but their defence look anything but solid and this could be their undoing.

If Norway hadn't of missed that penalty and made it 3-2 it would have been an uncomfortable final part of the match for France against a second string Norway - Haaland would have had a field day, Upamecano doesn't look a very good defender anytime I see him and can be got at....
