Jan Paul van Hecke

Formation change? Don't think it will be too much different
Tactical change? Massively, in my opinion. The focus is clearly on ball players and especially those who pass the ball forwards.

RDZ got us to about 6th place in the form guide in his short tenure and in very difficult circumstances. I'm not yet confident we'll get CL but there is no question in my mind that we will not have another season like we've had for the last two. RDZ is a proper manager at the level we need. His work will be tireless and I have a feeling most of it will be done with the tracksuit on until he feels comfortable stepping away from the tactical piece of his role.

I'm also noticing that nobody is praising Lange for the impressive start to this summer. That's clearly not in vogue. It's more fun to point fingers at him for the ones we're selling.
De Zerbi did specifically talk about how Senesi allows flexibility in our formation. One can reasonably assume that Van Hecke doesn’t impede that thought.

You make a solid point about Lange and he certainly deserves credit for whatever part he has played in a hugely promising start to the summer

Don’t care about the price, not my money.

Most important thing is, RDZ wanted him, knows the player very well, has premier league experience. And get this, we backed the manager despite the price and circumstance.

Can we find something else to moan about?

I find that I look down at people that eat at those chicken shops where the people working look greasier than the food. Then I look at the clientele and wonder if they have dressed up for the occasion in joggers and trainers. I do wonder what possesses a grown adult baby to behave in such a manner.

Any commodity is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
We were willing to pay what we did for JP, and BTW it's a bad day when the abbreviation needs abbreviated, so someone at the club obviously decided he was worth it.

Feels good to have another Belgian duo in defence again like the glory days of a decade ago 🇧🇪🇧🇪

Well, well said.

The narrative is set with Lange. It really doesn't matter what he does from now.
