Doku is an ever present and apparently brilliant yet has 5 goals and 5 assists in the league this season - does that sound great in a dominant City side? It's all about what Pep asks of his wingers, it's not the way to look at things. Wingers perform differently before and after they've played for City under Pep....Not sure how I feel about Savinho. In 84 appearances in a dominant City team he has only 7 goals and 13 assists.
We need wide players with better production than what we currently have. Someone like Greenwood fits the profile (81 games, 64 G/A), as well as the production needed.
Who's been saying that? it wasn't long ago that fans were saying he's useless. only becoming 'good' in recent weeks with vital contributions. I wouldn't take him at spurs for the exact reasons I stated.Doku is an ever present and apparently brilliant yet has 5 goals and 5 assists in the league this season - does that sound great in a dominant City side? id take him. great numbers. We need difference makers in the final third and may have to plan for life without KuluWe could go back to our feeder club and sign Bowen. Proven attacking ability in the PL. But he's normally played on the right or through the middle?

Savio at his best was more of a wide playmaker than an out right goal scorer +although he did have good numbers at Girona). I'd argue the way Pep has used him is quite different to what worked for him at Girona. If the price is right (maybe a loan) and in a different system he might get back to the Girona style performances. We arguably need the creation as much as we need the goal threat.
It does depend a bit in what profile of striker we get, if it's someone who is more of a finisher than the creation from wide will be handy, if instead it's a striker who can create for themselves more than creation our wide might beess necessary.
What I like about him is that he can play both sides. Which means should Kudus/Kulusevski struggle for fitness he can play RW and it gives Moore/Tel/Odobert opportunity at LW.
With everyone fit, we have quite a lot of wingers. Just a lack of senior quality without Kudus and Kulu.
Kulu through the middle, Kudus on the right, and Savinho on the left must be the thinking. But who knows how things shake down. Tel could ignite. He's got the raw ingredients, once they are refined and he can find the corner of the net more consistenetly he could be amazing. The pace, skill and power are there. The last 20% accuracy and consistency is missing. Odobert is very tricky already. A step ahead of Tel maybe but not much in it. Moore probably needs another loan, but could certainally be an effective sub coming on against tired legs.
Unfortunatley at this point you have to chalk up Kulu as a bonus if he comes back. Kudus-Maddison-Savinho
He was a LW playmaker at Girona. City bought him and largely played gin in the right with the expectation that he would cut in an shoot but that's not really his play style. He's more of a short pass combinational player who can dribble. He was very, very good doing this at Girona. City used him completely differently.

Now I don't know if maybe that season at Girona was just everything falling perfectly for him and he can't recreate it going forward but he is much more a LW than he ever was a RW.
