Perfect player to play 2nd fiddle on that left side in a top 8 team because he's hungry (so the main incumbent cant rest) and he also grafts (so coming on in those last 20/25 mins of matches he would never give up).
The problem is, we signed 2 players like that (incl Odobert).
The club scrimped on a proven 15 goal a season Son replacement.
Haha. Yeah, my thought was let’s get a 15 goal a year striker firstBit optimistic given we haven't got a 15 goal a season player in team.
Errr we had 2. That's my point. They weren't replaced. We tried though....we definitely tried!Bit optimistic given we haven't got a 15 goal a season player in team.

Do not hold your breath for that to happen.Problem is City, Chelsea, Liverpool, United, Woolwich and probably Saudi Sportswashing Machine are more attractive options for that type of player. We are in a position where we have to take a chance on what we can get and fans need to ignore all the crap in clickbait stories.
What's more, those four above Tel in the list play for more successful teams in relatively weaker leagues: Lyon (top in Ligue 1)), Como (sixth in Serie A) and two at Porto (top in Liga Portugal).
That penalty has just about finished us off
I keep thinking about it, and it frustrates the hell out of me. Because games in this league are now seemingly always tight, and we just couldn’t be relied upon to not make a silly mistake.
Tel is someone that has worked hard and played well recently. Won the corner at Wolves that led to the goal when he had no right to. Fantastic cross for Richy at Villa. And then the goal today. I cannot fathom why he would do what he did. Yes he is young, but surely being aware of your surroundings and not just flinging into an overhead kick in your own box is something that gets drilled into 12 year olds? It’s just lazy as much as anything, like you don’t need to look, and make the right adjustment to your body.
That said, in reading The Athletic article about how Leeds survived, it was interesting to see that Farke, as well as height and physicality, only signed players between 25-28. It is now seemingly a really smart insight into where the game has gone in this league, and how duels are all important. And why RDZ is playing our most experienced central midfield.
He doesn’t have a choice up front right now. But gods damn this was such a silly mistake to make.
He also made a terrible mistake in the first half with his cross into our box that if not for Danso's flick would have been a perfect cross onto the Leeds' player's head.
However, I think those rash decisions are part of who he is and will become as a player. He's very positive, very direct and will take chances. I'd rather that and him develop into a player with an X factor, rather than having it drilled out of him and become safety first.
For me, the real issue was that we were so deep for so long after we scored. We gave up the initiative right at the moment when we should have gone for it to kill the game off.
I love Richi for lots of reasons. He’s a character in a sea of beige, he’s a brickhouse, he runs all day. But, fudge me, he’s an awful footballer technically at this level. We really should double check his passport. No way he can be Brazilian.Considering how Tel has consistently watched our experienced 'defenders' doing these brain dead sort of things I can't and won't blame him. Would rather look at Richys 'finishing' as to why we didn't win tbh.
Kind of weird to try and make him the spacegoat when he's one of the only ones trying to make things happen but why am I not surprised....
