Gutter Boy

Public spending has gone up, but its generally all being wasted on:It's an interesting study in human behaviour this. The left wing and the press have beaten the drum about cuts to public spending for years now, the the point where intelligent people like you believe it and even repeat it.
The truth is, the tax burden is higher in this country than it has ever been since WWII. That money is spent, along with plenty more that we don't have.
More is being spent now on public services than in generations.
The problem is that too many people aren't working and those who are, are not productive enough.
- triple lock pensions, keeping old people very wealthy
- enormous leakage to big pharma, because of NHS over-spending on drugs instead of social prescribing
- pointless missiles rusting in bunkers
