Didn't think it was a red, defender coming in from other side.Ref was backed into a corner there, by the rules. (Barca red card)
...and ripping Arsenal a new oneShame. Yamal is the player you want to see gracing this stage.
What a great game.....Barca not taking their chances. Great game.
And that's why I think they stand a better chance of beating Arse. Barca are so soft. Atletico know all the dirty stuff. And they're a damn good team too! My word we could have done with a player like Marco Llorente! Top, top player who works unbelievably hard!AM have mastered the knack of fouling and killing a move without getting booked. Masters of the dark arts.
That's what I mean , the ref was buggered by protocol.Didn't think it was a red, defender coming in from other side.
From your mouth to Trump Jesus' ears. And that's why I think they stand a better chance of beating Arse. Barca are so soft. Atletico know all the dirty stuff. And they're a damn good team too! My word we could have done with a player like Marco Llorente! Top, top player who works unbelievably hard!
Great player. And Simeone's bastard child on the pitch is just an extension of his own malevolent will (too much?).And that's why I think they stand a better chance of beating Arse. IF Arsenal get through, them and their fans will 100% underestimate AtleticoAnd that's why I think they stand a better chance of beating Arse. Barca are so soft. Atletico know all the dirty stuff. The refs original decision could still have stood. They rule it onside and continue with the refs on field decision with the yellow. Or if it does mean that they can't give the yellow, just give the foul and no card, the lesser evil. That's what I mean , the ref was buggered by protocol.
The decision onfield was offside..but when VAR could see it wasn't offside and obviously it was a foul on Sorloth ...so they could only get rid of the incorrect offside decision by saying it's a red.
Ironically the ref got it right in the first place when he gave a yellow before realizing the linesman had flagged.
Possibly. What you say should be correct...and when you think about it, why can't they just decide what's right with all options open. The refs original decision could still have stood. They rule it onside and continue with the refs on field decision with the yellow. Or if it does mean that they can't give the yellow, just give the foul and no card, the lesser evil.
What are you guys on about? Sørloth was through on goal and got tripped up. It's a red card all day long. The other defender was 5 yards away and 2 meters behind when the actual foul happens. It only looks like he catches up because Sørloth falls.Possibly. What you say should be correct...and when you think about it, why can't they just decide what's right with all options open.
The onfield decision was offside. They can only work forward from there. But can't review yellow cards. Or maybe technically the yellow doesn't exist as the offside came first.? So can then only punish the player by giving him a red?.
It's all ridiculous really. Just get it right with no restrictions, given you have the gift of replay.
We were talking about the process. What are you guys on about? Sørloth was through on goal and got tripped up. It's a red card all day long. The other defender was 5 yards away and 2 meters behind when the actual foul happens. It only looks like he catches up because Sørloth falls.
Ridiculous to even debate that sending off. It wasn't offside, through on goal, gets taken out. Those are the facts.
