The *WHEN* we go down thread

One thing for certain when we play Championship football the local economy is going to suffer. Lower crowds means less people in local pubs and shops, fewer stewards needed and if we got around 40,000 (if prices are lowered) one third of the general admission drink/food outlets could probably be shut . On the plus side shorter queues at WHL & NP stations.

We won’t get 40000
We will have tonnes of mid week games don’t forget and we can’t sell them out in the CL
We ain’t getting big crowds in the championship even for a fiver

I know they have cheaper ticket prices but Saudi Sportswashing Machine averaged over 50,000 when they went down for one season.

PS Would think the attraction of no VAR might encourage a few to turn up.

I'm worried that we might get crowds similar to the Europa League at the old Lane. 21k for Asteras Tripolis iin 2014, could be similar against Preston or Swansea? Maybe 25 or 30k at best? Grim times.

It’s the KO times isn’t it, I’m about an hour and 50 away on the train, and with an 8pm, I basically have one shot to be home before 2am due to the frequency of trains back home (Essex coast). So those Wednesday 8pm’s are an utter nightmare.

I can’t get around the a10 roundabout off the M25
Can take me an hour to do one mile

I went to the Doncaster cup game, as I had the next day off. Ended up missing the first train by 1 minute, then the last train home was an hour later - got home at 2:40am in the end 😂🙈
Scary
I will be missing a third of the championship games if I was to renew and I won’t renew unless they massively discount the prices which I don’t think they will

The saddest bit is people not renewing could mean a season ticket is finally achievable for many on the waiting list, the downside is as you say, it’s in the championship, the price probably won’t go down, and you’re still putting money in ENICs pockets.
