Igor the Interim

I think an obvious advantage of Richie and Solanke as a two, is they'll always be a physical nuisance for the opposition defence at bare minimum. It'll never feel we've got no-one up there, it's got a double chance of sticking if we go long.
They can split donkey work. Both good targets for crosses.

And just perhaps they'll start developing a partnership

Muani and Simons are both good sub options, both are tricky and Muani pacy. Good for a tired or softened opponent OR for us to switch it up if things aren't going our way.
Agreed. And a lot easier to be a physical nuisance if all you have to do is make sure the defender doesn't win it cleanly because there are other teammates nearby so if it drops you can win the second ball. Compared to asking Richarlison to outright win the duel and control the ball and find a pass, that will only happen rarely.

As they showed against Liverpool both will put in a massive shift off the ball too making sure we're not outnumbered defensively.

Been saying all season that Simons needs to receive the ball in decent situations and he needs players to combine with, movement around him and ahead of him. With this team, the players currently available and with our issues with form that will only happen rarely. If we can't give him that he's not going to be all that creative.

But the upcoming league games will offer very different challenges to the Liverpool game so maybe something different is required, I don't know. Big calls for Tudor. But first needs to navigate the CL game...

I wouldn't want Harry anywhere near the club. He couldn't behave and be handled properly. It is beyond him.
He’s not as bad as that but I don’t think he could do a job with what we are in at the moment considering his age and time out of the game.

Don’t let your views on him get in the way of the stellar job he done with us previously, but again that was a long time ago. But yes he does need to shut his gob at times.

He doesn’t like to come across a roosterney wideboy, but then plays the role, then gets irritated when he’s considered one

It would be a bit like sending John Major to the frontline in Ukraine as a government envoy

Fully appreciative of what he did previously for us but he would bring the circus and that isn't what we need. Also the couple of times I have interacted with him at racecourses he was an absolute taco so I am slightly anti him as a person.

Depends on the situation you encountered him at the racecourse?

Funny that, I’ve bumped into him a few times and he’s always been a gent. Everyone has good and bad days I suppose.

One thing I have learnt from Tudor's time (other than we really don't know what is going on day to day with the players and coaches)...we must have seriously lacked fitness, and that is 100% on Frank's shoulders.
Our running stats the last few games have been significantly higher, and we outran Liverpool by (I believe) nearly 4km as a team on Sunday. Tonight we were at it the entire match, same on Sunday, and each game we scored in the 90th min or later.
What it tells me is that when Tudor said we were unfit he was right, and that I really have no f ucking clue what Frank was up to that our players were so unfit during the season. It makes me wonder whether the reason Paratici wanted this guy at Xmas was because he could see this, knows Tudor is a fitness guy, and knew he'd need a few games to make it take root?
Anyway, the man is showing some skills and cajones now, delighted that my nervous 'fan' insecurity was not in charge of decision making post Palace!!!!!

The stat I saw said we outran Liverpool by 9kms, I think.

Perception is a big difference. When he backed us with a more balanced team it allowed them to play. It's obvious fitness is key to his team but I hope he looks at today and realises he needs danger on the pitch too
