Can somebody give me a non-badger related reason to be hopeful please? Would be much appreciated.
Don't know what is wrong with me, but i am tempted to go on Thurs. As a non-paying member, it is an opportunity to watch Spurs, but i really don't want to give my money to this club/drug.
Hopefully Tudor starts the players who have shown a bit of fight. Only optimism i have is that statistically with recent form, we are due a win more than Palace
That's just it @thfcsteff, I cannot fathom how they can't see that's where he is most effective. We need players who can do something a bit different like taking someone on, he does that as does Tel. We must take 3 pts on Thursday as we ain't getting any at Anfield in the following game.I hate to say it but unless Tudor plays him inside and in behind a striker I don't think we can afford to have him on the pitch right now (and I really like him too!!!)
Weird one, Muani. Not great...but could be worse. Now we have no Odobert we have such little pace to get behind teams. Muani gives us a chance to do that at least...
Slim pickings i know, but desperate times and all that. Certainly not a lack of effort from what i saw yesterday
Shorn Connery.I see we are back at late-Europa League stage importance...time the Big Guns start to return...3-1 win, Richy with 2...

Tenous but I'll take it. If we lump on glasner for the permanent gig, might be enough to lift to him odds on. Then he'll have a vested interest in seeing us stay up. Maybe he plays the Crystals in defence and we scrape a hard earned draw.I see we are back at late-Europa League stage importance...time the Big Guns start to return...3-1 win, Richy with 2...

If we want an accurate prediction we should ask the ref.

I'm a big fan of rewarding the players who came off the bench and made us look different - Tel, Danso, Sarr, Souza, Richi. I'm also a fan of reminding players that below par performances won't go unnoticed. The problem is that the latter includes most of the team that started against Fulham.
So I guess it's about a happy medium, or maybe not. We have a few fixtures coming up so rotation is key anyway.
Personally, I would encourage Tudor to stick to what he believes in. Stick to a system that he is used to coaching on a day in, day out basis. Think about what this team looks like from Mar-May and start to form it now. If that is 3 at the back then so be it. If that needs ball playing RCB and LCB then form that now even if it means playing Gray there until Romero is back.
His midfield selection will be key to this game.
At least Eze no longer plays for Palace!

A double from Eberechi Eze gave Crystal Palace all three points at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.www.tottenhamhotspur.com
...hate to be that guy; Brennan does...
While the Fulham result and performance for sure was disappointing I do think part of that was a result of going behind early. Drop in confidence etc.Can somebody give me a non-badger related reason to be hopeful please? Would be much appreciated.
Very much agreed. Really anything that gets some more ball playing centrally (CB and deep midfield). Gray at CB being one option. I would also think Gallagher as one of the deep midfielders, he's not great on the ball, but imo better than Sarr, Palhinha and most fluctuations/variations of Bissouma.I'm a big fan of rewarding the players who came off the bench and made us look different - Tel, Danso, Sarr, Souza, Richi. Johnson is the last player I'd want in a relegation battle.Yet another glorious decision by Crooked Joe's kids / Venkatesham / Lange
Flogging last season's top scores in January might've proved an acceptable gamble if they parlayed that fee to sign a ball playing midfielder; like say Wharton, whom Palace signed from Blackburn the January after we activated Phillips' release clause.
Doing so for yet another box-to-box player, who's not even shown himself to be massively superior to Sarr and Bergvall, might prove to be the straw which breaks the camel's back and gets us relegated though.
