Counts against Kane that he didn’t win a trophy though. I’d have Son & Hoddle over him for that reason.

Not really - the argument for him being in is that he is the best goalscorer in our entire history. Son won one trophy, we have many players who have won more and who have won an equal or bigger trophy so why does he get in ahead of any of those players? Kane stands alone at the top of our goal scoring charts - that's a unique thing. Hoddle I can see an argument for the best 'Spurs' player - he typifies the style of player we love more than any other i guess

Ability wise hoddle, gascoigne and bale as players

Gazza & Hoddle before my time really - the way my Dad says it is that Gascoigne was not a patch on Hoddle in terms of ability.

Mackay probably deserves a shout - the older generations always name check him as one of our best ever players

I get it. I also value the loyalty that Son showed. Love Kane but the Gary Neville interview and leaving on top will always count against him when the bar is this high. Also think you need to include a foreign player.

Very tough...I've gone all players...

Blanchflower
Perryman
Hoddle
Son

They all won trophies. They were all such unique players in their own rights (Perryman might feel odd to some but his sheer consistency and level of performance across several eras of the club makes him a cert for me).

Grease, Mabbs and Kane were hard to leave off...some excellent counter points from @billyiddo and others...love this thread!

Tough to compare, but I have to say, Hoddle was just glorious. AND far tougher than he looked/had a reputation for. He could tackle when necessary. I adored watching him week in week out. Great shout on Mackay...

I went with
Nicholson
Blanchflower
Greaves
Hoddle
I will always pick Bill Nic & Hoddle but the other two are impossible to pick. I will probably change my mind multiple times before giving up

What a dilemma

Shortlisted it to Bill Nich, Blanchflower, Ledley, Greaves, Perryman, Hoddle, Kane, Jones

Rushmore 1: Bill Nich, Ledley, Hoddle, Greaves
Rushmore 2: Blanchflower, Perryman, Jones, Kane

I love the fact that Cliff Jones has dedicated a lifetime to Spurs and can still be seen there today. Saying that, if I could merge the Allens into one statue then I would.
