Aaron McGuire played his first 1st team
Game of his career to day for my local club Hampton & Richmond. He had a very shakey start. Probably cost the first goal and poor punching out for the 2nd calmed down in the 2nd half. But him and the team improved in the 2nd half and scored 2 stoppage time goals to get a point 2-2!
Didnt watch his 2nd game were he had a clean sheet, but by all accounts didnt have much to do. His 3rd game on Saturday was very shaky with a lot of his kicks going off the pitch. Last night was no where to be seen and a new keeper signed, looks to have dropped already.

I believe it's one of the hardest positions to play for a youngster, the best I've ever seen were Jennings and Shilton. It really is as much about experience as talent. Modern keepers are under so much more pressure than those 2 with the rule changes about back passes.

The balls are massively different too. Its why there's not been a genuine world class keeper since Buffon. Even the best look a bit iffy a lot of the time now
