I thought Toby's injury was in the lead up to a WC year. That would have made it the 17/18 season. Wasn't he getting frustrated that Poch wouldn't put him back in and left him on the bech for a while?

He's a lot, lot more assertive than TF ever was.

Clever words in there too about the need to work first with what he has, then instil his own style on things.

If he is the taskmaster he's alleged to be, that may be why his approach doesn't survive past the short term. What I hope is that Arsenal know they are in a game - if we can get a point or better from what is essentially a free hit, and really set the Lane buzzing then Igor will find the Spurs faithful will roar him on.

Champions league is going to be interesting too, as he will need to determine whether we focus on one or the other, or both where league and CL are concerned.

I'm happier having heard him speak that we can get something from this spell.

None of what you said is wrong but none of it mean Tudor was not already highlighted as the potential interim in case the needed to do it.

I think it might more suit VDV (who would be a good ball carrier) and Gray (who would be a good passer) with Romero being the one who stayed back at the base.

Having met him many, many times, I'd say he's a really nice fella.

Turned up late to filming of a PL show at Stockley Park studios when I was working with the PL and was coming out of a meeting, he was a cnut to the runner trying to mic him up on the run to the studio.

Heard another story through the grapevine about how he bullied some young exec at Swindon, sending him on errands for "Banter"......

Most people I know that have come accross him usually caveat their opinion with something negative

I've never had that experience at all. He has always been polite, charming and happy to chat, and has always seemed to treat people well when I've been in his company. Four of my mates are members at the same golf club as him and all really like him (3 of the 4 are not Spurs fans).

Well, if anyone can get a tune fro Radu right now it will be Igor. I feel rather more confident than before. He has a presence and does not feel like someone who accepts low standards. Proof the of the pudding, etc, etc...
