Would you have these as interim manager to finish the season?

  • John Heitinga

  • Current Coach (Lewis, Cochrane, Burnett, Carr)

  • Ryan Mason

  • Jurgen Klinsmann

  • Chris Hughton

  • Brendan Rodgers

  • Edin Trzic

  • Gareth Southgate

  • Former Manager Hoddle/Jol/Redknapp/Sherwood

  • Stick with Frank no matter what

Have you ever known a Croatian not slot straight into the EPL? They are tough mofos but also quite compatible with the culture.

The old adage “never sign a player just because he scored a hat-trick against Tottenham” springs to mind, poor old SCBC 💩

What kind of manager is Igor Tudor?

Stefano Buonfino is one of Transfermarkt's Content Managers in Italy and tells us more about the kind fo football Tudor likes to play: "Tudor plays aggressive football with a strong focus on defence and ball possession. He favours counter-attacks or quick direct moves. A three-man defence is almost mandatory with him." He arrived at Juventus last summer, but with plenty of scepticism, as Buonfino explains: "His reputation is still being built. Before arriving at Juve, few fans were happy with him. Those who defended him did so more because he was part of the club's history and because of his mentality, but many wondered if he was up to the task of managing a big club, and him being sacked shortly after confirmed those doubts."

So why has he not lasted very long in either of his four management jobs so far? "Sometimes he preferred not to stay, as at Lazio or Verona, in search of better options," admits Buonfino. "Other times, he was unable to solve the problems in the environment and ended up failing. He has yet to find a project that can give him continuity. Even at Juve, he was confirmed in the summer because they were unable to get Antonio Conte, who remained at Napoli, but clearly they did not fully believe in him.

Look I’m not saying he’ll definitely fail, it just seems a huge risk for an interim appointment in the precarious position Frank has left us in. At least his style is more front foot and inline with what we want.
This 'we need a relegation battle manager' thing is over stated for me tbh.

Two of the big reasons we are flopping is because 1) Our fans arent behind the team and football 2) The players didn't buy into the manager and football

If Tudor's style is more aligned and the players buy into him then we will get more than enough points - It's not a necessity to have an Allardyce or whoever, just a manager capable of getting this team playing closer to it's potential and we will be fine....

Also because those managers have also usually taken clubs down

Never are two situations the same, on paper and timing this fits, time for fans to play their part now with the run int

Hopefully a manager in a negative spiral moving to a club also in a negative spiral will result in an uplift in form for both 🙏 🤞

Slumping Juventus fired coach Igor Tudor on Monday following three straight losses and an eight-match winless run.

The 47-year-old took charge in March and steered the side to a fourth-placed finish in Serie A, and this summer was rewarded with a new contract running until June 2027.

However, a frustrating start to this season sees Juventus lying eighth in the league table and without a win in eight games across all competitions -- they have not scored in the last four.

All well and good if we have those players to play that way, we don't as they are all currently injured.

If he keeps us up, job done we are happy, he is a couple of million better off and we part ways never having to look back at this season again.

This just screams of a rushed and poor appointment and a bigger risk than say Dyche

Guess we will know in 13 games time.

A lot of them are due to be back for the majority games and I don't know what manager is ideal for a whole teams worth of injuries - any manager would be handicapped. I'm also not sure how you've come to the conclusion it's rushed. As for Dyche he has done nothing at Forest to show he's the man.

People will whinge whoever was appointed, this is a very niche situation with no obvious/outstanding candidate....

Time to make this sexy....

"
Igor Tudor has fashioned a tactical doctrine of rare conviction—one defined by feral intensity, vertical ambition, and architectural precision. Most commonly articulated through the 3-4-2-1 or 3-4-3, his structures are not static formations but living frameworks, engineered to compress space, distort opposition shapes, and impose territorial sovereignty.

At its heart lies an aggressive, frequently man-oriented press—an orchestrated act of suffocation designed to deny rhythm and provoke error. Yet Tudor’s vision extends beyond mere disruption. The instant possession is reclaimed, his sides unfurl forward with ruthless immediacy, converting defensive recovery into swift, penetrating incisions. Transitions are not moments of adjustment but of acceleration; the tempo is not managed, but dictated.

The result is football of unyielding momentum—physically exacting, tactically audacious, and animated by a relentless desire to conquer ground, command energy, and overwhelm opponents through sustained, forward-driving force."
annnnd I'm spent.

Woah, that was better than my wedding night.

Yea I wasn’t really thinking an Allardyce type, definitely not in fact, we need to move as far away from the Frank style as possible, but I was hoping for someone who knew the league.

But anyway I’m just processing it minutes after hearing the news, was just a bit of a surprise. Like you, I think the players are more than capable of getting a few results given a bit of confidence and belief rather than being scared of their own shadow.

Attacking player wise Richi is back for Arsenal/Fulham

Then the next one isn't due back till mid April, that's Kudus

Be careful what you wish for is a term oft used.... and I fear it will come to haunt those who wanted Frank out because of his defensive outcome...

This guy lasted less than Frank... and in league renowned for its defensive focus, he was kicked out for unimaginative tactics.

Sherwood seems a revolutionary compared to him...
