That's probably about right. Folks like me do put stock in communication (probably a little more than is necessary) AND I agree, they appear to have gone about it in this ham-fisted "chatGPT" fashion. The art of communication is timing as much as anything; saying the right things at the right time. We appear to not do either very well LOL...

ENIC are a disgrace and need to get out of our club. Surely there’s something about player welfare and allowing us to only have 11 first team squad players fit. All being run into the ground whilst ENIC keep their wallets in their pockets. I refuse to believe that we couldn’t have signed a couple of players. We could have loaned players too. It’s not necessarily easy but neither are a lot of professions but it’s why people earn the big money. I’m done with ENIC, if they care this little about our players then I don’t hold out much that they care for our club besides the financial returns that they receive.

All of the above are my thoughts, and I’m sure others may disagree with it or points of it. But for me get ENIC OUT of our club.

Where does the 11 fit players come from , we had 11 starters , OK maybe Romero wasn't fully fit as he went off but we had Kinsky, Sarr and Tel all perfectly fit on the bench with doubts over Odobert but he looked full of running when he came on, who said 11 can they count ?

Maybe he meant outfield players so we can take out Kinsky, you read all the time that players are playing with small niggles , think Sonny did it for ages and Richy.

PS Did Romero count Souza as one who was fit, he was on the bench , he's young and untried but is now a bona fide member of the first team squad .

Personally, I've had enough of ENIC. If they wanted to run the club on a budget, they should have kept Levy in place because he's the best man to do that.

All their big talk in September was ill-judged because they were always likely to be judged on the January window as a result which, let's be honest, was pretty meh. There has been absolutely no change in recruitment strategy so far. On the flip side, you would say January is a tough window and not many clubs did much business. So, all things being equal, you'd say "give them the summer to show what they're about".

Thing is, I've no faith in them. They've had the club for 25 years and have always run us a certain way. I can't see that changing. The front man may have changed but the tunes are still the same. And the new singer doesn't have as good a voice as the last one.

It's a fair counter-argument and, all things being equal, I'd agree. Here's why I've little faith in them.

Levy has gone, the ownership hasn't changed. Levy wasn't operating as he was purely on his own initiative. That's how ENIC obviously wanted to run the club. They've had 25 years. I don't see the model changing just because Levy has been replaced.

No sooner was Levy out the door and they were talking big about transfers and competing. That was ill-judged if they weren't prepared to back it up in the next window and they didn't. They should have said little or nothing and waited until the summer.

Like with Frank (who I'm leaning towards sacking but am happy to give the season to in the hope he'll prove me wrong), I'll give them a chance which is the summer window. However, I've no faith in them to really change how we do business because they are the same people who have run us for the last 25 years.

That's all logical...and as such, I agree.

But only time will give any conclusive answers, and that is a shrinking commodity.

The transfer window wasn't 'bad' with the context of it being a tricky window and holding it up against our peers.

And given the full sweep of the C-Suite, any business is going to have and need a good period of adjustment and settling in.

BUT the boiled down simple reality is....we are either, as we were, spending what we earn (with the endless hope of spending it better) or the Lewis's are adding more on top to (hopefully) push us on to a higher level. If they're not, it's as you say, naff all has changed.

Fwiw, my gut feeling is they are pretenders...they won't want to go full guns blazing, they'll realise half hearted won't cut it, realise this league is a tough nut to crack, and partly because their mind is half occupied by the juicy option of selling us.

I said before there has been a lot of noise from agents saying they've been told Spurs are now willing to break their previous wage structure. The problem is of course that to do that we will be looking to attract a very high level of player that if available will likely be wanted by the biggest of clubs - See Semenyo for example. Will be interesting to see what summer business is done, especially with likely no European football. Will be extremely difficult to attract this bracket of player....

Yes that's what I'm saying? We want a Semenyo and apparently offered above what we have in the past to get him, but if a City or whoever come in for these players we still can't attract them so it's tricky. Even if the owners do genuinely want to be more ambitious, we are still going to fail most of the time in getting the really good players - especially with where we find ourselves domestically....

Just have to rely on a scouting system that can bring in talent, Simons starting to look the part , if only we could play City every week , a makeshift back four with just one regular in Udogie kept all their highly paid stars at bay in the 2nd half.

Though i was vehemently levy out, its logical to give ENIC and Vinai until next transfer transfer window to see what they come up with.

A pretty rough season so far, all sorts of surprises in player recruitment, coaching staff changes, top management changes, DoF instability etc.
