I just re-read my post tonight, rather more sober than last night.
I omitted Sunday :D
It should read:

Done well last year but fudge all this season.

Classic situation we find ourselves in within the markets we shop. Was his form a blip, situational, is it now, will he come good, will he not?

Out of the two Mateta is much more of a known quantity.

Looks like it might be a moot point but every time I watch Palace he misses a big chance. He would frustrate the hell out of Spurs fans.

Strand Larsen looks a far better player from what I’ve seen. Yeah only 1 goal but Wolves are a shambles.

Been pretty well reported now from "club mouthpieces" that we aren't interested in Mateta, Larsen or Sterling (thank fudge)

Do we think wheels will start turning faster on incomings now we have secured a last 16 CL knockout place?

Well we are going to find out if our new old owners are just full of brick, +43M for what we have done so far in CL, very little net spend to this point and we are bare bones. If there isn't an instant first team player signing it says a lot about their real intentions and who between them and Levy was really holding us back.

If there isn’t a player available who would upgrade our first XI then I’d rather keep our powder dry till the summer. Our squad is bloated enough already. The CL squad rules exaggerated our injury problems but we have plenty available for the Prem and we can wait a month on our CL squad now.

When we sold Johnson, I can't remember Franks exact words but he said there is a plan with us selling him and we will see soon ie Something in the works in terms of an incoming. Well that never materialised, I can't think for one second he was referring to Gallagher.....

The risk of relegation, as minute as it may be, maybe changes the picture enough for a change of approach? (Usually I would definitely agree better to keep our powder dry than to bloat the squad with players who will end up being another not quite good enough player).

We do have a history of signing players late in windows, mixed bag on who actually comes in, but let's see what happens.

I would give them until the summer before making strong statements on their intentions. Not looking great at this point, but the January window is difficult and all that.

Interestingly, from what i've been told by someone in the industry, Levy made himself untenable to them due to his behaviour with potential suitors....they certainly want to sell, but apparently want to sell with us seen as 'one of the best teams in the game', make of that what you will.

As you say, the proof will be in the pudding by Monday night...

Someone in the industry? Steward, referee, groundskeeper, agent...?

It's a big industry.

Why the f would Spurs try and sign Sterling?? If this is right… ambision and what we do is two things that aint the same! Transfers look like a Club that hopes to be top 10-13 and we are talking about winning things
