Antonin Kinsky

Telling how much better Saudi Sportswashing Machine's second choice keeper is than ours. I agree that Kinsky's development would be better served going out and playing. A couple of years top level football somewhere else and he can perhaps come back as our first choice.
Actually we had the chance to sign that same second-choice keeper on loan (suspect he would have preferred staying in London) and send Kinsky to the French Ligue 1 in one fell stroke.... and missed the opportunity!

If only we could combine Kinsky’s passing ability with Vicario’s shot stopping, we’d have a potential Neuer on our hands…

Id 100% be giving him a (proper) chance here before thinking of moving him on.

Id suggest he's fed up with not getting a chance, so is agitating to go elsewhere
Can't be easy watching the person in front of you making mistake after mistake and not getting a chance.

Saying that, from what we've seen of him he's currently isnt exactly great either.

Hermansen is dreadful though.

it would be a shame to let Kinsky go a he's very young and cost quite a lot - he's far from the finished article but equally we need depth in the keeping department and that leaves us very short.

A loan with no option would be my preference but he's apparently going with an option to be purchased. Hopefully that is for the same money we spent or he has just sucked up wages and left.

Would have been good to give him a chance, but assuming the coaches who see him every day in training know well how good he is.

If this rumour has substance and the rumours about Vicario leaving and us going for a new goalkeeper in the summer are true I'm guessing Kinsky has been evaluated and found to be unlikely to be good enough to be a regular starter for us any time soon.

I'm not sure with a goalkeeper how you evaluate that in training tbh?

Surely real game situations, like the ones you ploughed thru when deciding to buy him, carry more weight.

For stuff like dealing with pressure, mistakes, two games a week etc I agree.

On shot stopping, handling, distribution, crosses, set pieces etc they should have a good idea.

I think it was one of the journalists on The Tottenham Way podcast this week who said that sources inside the club have said that Kinsky is not highly rated and isn't seen as a future starter.
