Who's left for Dortmund

Not sure where Craig is but he doesn't seem to have played a single match anywhere this season for anyone.
I'd wondered where he'd disappeared to as well. Out of contract in June. No loan and no U21s appearances, yet he's the senior midfielder in the setup

Yeah, didn't we do exactly the same thing with Max Robson last season? He was eligible to be a named club trained player and we didn't use him at all in that capacity.

I had a quick look. Mathew Craig is out of contract in June. I reckon we decided he didn't make the grade but couldn't get any offers either. Probably just gets to use the facilities but won't be blocking the path for any young guns in the U21s would be my guess. It's all about Cassanova and Olusesi and a couple of others.

Football can be very harsh to these young guys.

He seemed to have a good stint at Doncaster, it's mad we couldn't find him a League One move in the summer. Or even now. His twin is at Orient, and Matthew was supposed to be the better one

The weirdest thing like this was Simon Dawkins. We released him once. Signed him back after a year of him being unattached. Years later Villa tried to sign him from a Canadian club and hadn't realised we still owned him. And he was still in our academy aged about 26.

So based on the above, our worst case scenario could be

Vic
Spence/Porro, Romero, Danso, Udogie
Olusesi, Bergval
Odobert, Xavi, Tel
Muani
(Spence or Porro in midfield or a back 5 with both of them?)
(Xavi in the double pivot and Scarlett starting? Xavi limped off at the end of the Hammers game)

The bench will be stacked with kids that we will have to use if guys like Udogie don't have 90 mins in them. Olusesi may have to start. Byfield and LWB may have to be involved.

We surely have to get Sarr on a plane tomorrow or Tuesday. It's only a 3-4 hour flight from Morocco.

Mostly, we have to keep fingers crossed on Gray and Palhinha. They are the difference makers.

I think either Spence or Udogie could do a decent job at DM. Those two positions are more interchangeable than most. Danny Rose did a fine stint there when we were short once before.
