Appreciate the point you're making. But at the same time concerns about Kudus never getting a rest, repeatedly being put into really tough physical battles, looking fatigued have existed for a while. Him getting injured was definitely on my 2026 bingo card.You could not make this up.

I think Kudus needs some rotation/competition. I get maybe Johnson is not the one but we need someone to push Kudus. He seems too comfortable and borderline complacent at times (body language armchair expert etc.). Not entirely his fault since Kudus isn't the manager.

Whether Frank should have been limiting Johnson’s minutes and making him surplus to requirements by Jan knowing the extent of Kulu’s injury is another question though.

We obviously don't know how Frank would play him but central is Kulu's preferred position and where I think he actually does play his best and has the biggest direct influence imo.
In my ideal world you would have a Kudus along with another quality option. The second option could be a younger player or even someone who is versatile and can play either side potentially but I don't think we should ever go into a season relying on having a single quality wide attacker for and available for the duration of a season.

Yep like I said personal opinions, personally I like Kulu out there and so might Frank. The numbers of senior squad players were clearly there though, it’s not like we were counting on Moore or LWB in this.For the right hand side I'd argue we only went into the season with Kudus and Johnson with a potential Kulu who was long term injured. In terms of quality for me we only had Kudus so yes I'd say the squad needed alternative configuration.

Time for a back 3/5? Wing backs to provide the width. Get Richarlison and Kolo Muani closer together as a partnership up front.

STUPID from the management team. He needs more rest than that when we are playing every few days.
There is always an alternative player or formation. Always. Now he will get fewer minutes until April i.e. 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0. Stupid.

Only Porro, VDV, and Bentancur are the outfield players with more minutes than Kudus.
