Really interesting signing if we make it, just in the sense of it showing where the power is. And where our strength is in the market. We can be bottom half and on a terrible run, and we can outbid a team with 13 wins in a row or something silly. This is a really positive indicator for the level we’ll be at most of the time in the future.

I've seen over the past month a few different names in football reference that they have heard the 'new regime' are willing to loosen the wage structure. This seems to have been what they've been told from agents, who whilst full of BS would know about this side of things....
The price being mooted doesn't really leap out as something new on that front imv - in fact it seems to be a bit of a cut-price opportunistic bargain deal, something quite in line with how we operated previously.
Wages could tell a different story though
