I don't think i am wrong to compare the two, but this forum is about sometimes subjective opinions. I brought the incident up as its a recent incident in this country that sparked protests, a call for the officer to be charged with murder a public outcry that was heeded by the IOPC, which in turn caused a lot of anger and concern amongst officers and the army had to be put on standby following a threat by armed officers to hand in their permits in protest. Police federation stepped in and the officer was later acquitted.

I am not actually familiar with specific ICE protocols but these protocols are pretty universal around the world.

From a standing start in those conditions there is no way that car from once he is out the way then becomes a weapon "in reverse", simple maths and spatial awareness tell you that from the video alone.

If trained ICE agents needed lethal force from the time the car has passed the agent in front, then they are not fit for the job. Get Proud Boys in jobs, get proud boy outcomes

Considering Silly has an irrational fear of mean with beards, in different clothes and speaking a different language, I wouldn't trust him with a passport, let alone a gun and a risk assessment

Just prior she says "I'm not mad at you", his response was to fire three shots at her and yell "stupid bitch" after shooting her in the face. Read my above post. Only a complete macaron, or a committed supporter of everything the Trump regime does and says would argue that this woman posed any threat. She was steering away form him. Maybe you have issues with your own spatial awareness? Of course, you would be completely accepting of this if it happened to YOUR mother, sister or wife? She didn't ram the other cars as claimed either, clearly breaking when she came close.

Even the threshold for a bobby on the beat here being swung at with a bat isn't lethal force, so as aggressive as it is, I find that a strange "whataboutary"

BTW I don't think the two women were in the right in their actions to start with, but the point is, as soon as the ICE agents stopped and engaged, it was them that escalated the situation beyond repair, had they drove on and even been rammed, there is a huge chance everyone is still alive today. The burden being on the trained operative, not the public

The fact the comments from the GF are even a thing on here when she was armed with a fcuking iphone..............thats the levels we are dealing with

The woman 100% posed a threat. She is behind the wheel of a vehicle capable of killing someone easily and inflicting life changing injuries even at slow speeds. She is refusing to obey commands and has started driving off. You don't know what her intentions are or what her temperament is. As I've said, the use of force will be examined and the agent will have to account for their actions. Ignoring or being wilfully blind to law enforcement protocol, threat situation and all other contexts isn't helpul.

With Vance and the NRA nut jobs on his side, and given the fact ICE has been given all levels of special freedoms, he is going to get away with it, you can see that clear as day, this place will be awash with bunting and celebration when it happens I am sure
 
She clearly should have stopped when asked, being a citizen of a gun crazy country she should have known many US police and federal agents shoot first and ask questions afterwards.
If you slow the first bystander video down you can clearly see that the ICE agent is drawing his gun when she was still in reverse, the angle of the car and his postion he could easily have stepped aside and not been in danger but he chose to fire.
AP News website had an article on federal agents how basically they are immune from prosecution in fatal shootings , they will claim self defence , this agent will not be prosecuted for this .
Just have to hope that the clearly demented President and his political allies can be removed from power.
 
Sadly, I think you are correct. Trump and his stooges are not even pretending to stand behind rule of law anymore. This will encourage more Nazi scum to shoot people, once the message gets out. But she did drive at them and then brake at the last second.

So ask yourself if you were in a car behind and saw that, would it be reasonable to stop and get her to get out of the car? Absolutely it would - you don't know that she'll stop the next time.

So now you and your colleagues are approaching the car and she's refusing to get out and beginning to drive away. She's now broken 2 federal laws, it's your responsibility to arrest her.

So everything to this point is not only reasonable but what is required of the agents.

Now, from the body cam view does it look as if she's endangering the agent(s)? I think she is, some think she isn't. But it's certainly close enough that I wouldn't expect any agent to risk their life in the hope that she isn't. Especially not having seen how close she got to driving into their cars a few seconds ago.

At that point is the shooting justified? That's for the investigation with far better evidence to decide. But it's absolutely not murder like the screeching leftists want it to be. It's not deliberate or premeditated. It's a good or bad marginal decision in a high pressure moment.
